Fantastic weeks stay in a very clean and tidy spacious house at the best location

Property was ideally located within walking distance of Barry Island and Barry train station which could take you across to Cardiff. All the balconies were great and the outdoor space was a sun trap while we were there. Very clean and tidy on arrival and just looked and felt like a home from home. Communications were brilliant and having a separate freezer and fridge was fantastic for ice cream on those hot sunny days!

Only two things we weren’t keen on, but would not stop us booking again. The steep hill for parking the car for those less able can be a problem when exiting the vehicle. It was also quite a hot sunny week and not having any fans in the bedrooms meant it was over 27 degrees most nights and as someone afraid of spiders, opening the window at night was not an option.

Great location, nice space

Location was great for getting to the beach and the house was nicely decorated and spacious in the living area.

The floor down stairs in the kitchen/living room was filthy and it was quite expensive. The third bedroom with a single bed is very small and not suitable for an adult really.

Home from home, great location.

Lovely accommodation, well-equipped and presented. Nice views, close to lots of amenities and short walk to lovely restaurants. We played the games that were in the lounge and really felt comfortable and at home. Close to train station if we'd wanted to explore more of Wales without driving. Could be good if you wanted to go to Cardiff for an event as well. Extremely friendly and responsive support offered when needed to help make Mum comfortable. We'd love to stay again.

Very steep access on Miskin Street was tricky for my Mum, but manageable. Floor was very mucky and we didn't realise so on first night we took shoes off as at home and ended up with very mucky socks. Wore black after that.

Lush! (We did the Gavin and Stacey Tour which we recommend). Lovely coastal area to visit.

Fabulous location for visiting Barry Island and Barry itself. 10-15 ins from the beach. Well appointed and very comfy beds! Bright and cheerful. Plenty of storage, in the little bedroom there are baskets under the bed to use.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location.

This is a stunning house. A lot of work has gone in to making it a home from home. Perfect location, very comfortable especially the beds, lovely views from the balcony, everything you need is only a ten minute walk.

The hosts control the temperature so you can’t change it yourself. Not ideal when the weather changes and it’s cold like it was for one of our nights.

Great place to stay

Great place to stay - location is great for the beaches and the rest of Barry. The property is spacious and has all the cutlery and pans etc you may need with plenty of bed space. The parking is free outside too. Really kind and attentive owners who came out to change the heating timing for us.
