Great location easy to find

Great location very easy to find and park. Nice shops and places to eat and drink right on the doorstep. Great base to see the sights and all things Gavin and Stacey.

Lack of coffees, teas etc I thought it was stingee considering how much we paid and we stayed for 2 nights they could of given us more. Dusty extractor fan in the shower room.

Nice Quirky flay with lots to do in walking distance

The concept of using old industrial buildings was good, apartment was spacious and a little quirky which we liked. The kitchen was reasonably well appointed for cooking simple meals. Good location for testing out as urban eats was downstairs and Asda Supermarket was very close by to go and buy ready meals & groceries. beach and train stations for exploring both within easy walking distance. Staff were very helpful and solved 2 minor issues that day or the following morning

The carpet was badly stained and annoying little things like television not working as batteries flat in the remote in the lounge and tv in bedroom not working . There was a lot of noise the first night from urban eats area so limited windows to be open - could be very hot and noisy in the summer if lots of people eating drinking downstairs

Almost perfect, but...

The Goodsheds concept is fantastic. As a conservation geek, the reuse of the goods shed & train cars was great. The street food and drink options on site were great as was the ease of ordering all in one go. Great coffee hut and indie retail stuff too. The apartment was clean and well appointed. 20 minute walk to the beach.

We probably stayed at the wrong time of year. With no cooling in the apartment you have to open the windows, but the locals and their cars were very noisy and for most of the night. More than one loo roll might also have been nice. Parking could've been free in the compound.

Great location, but the facilities need some attention

Smooth check in, excellent location. Spacious and roomy apartment.

The apartment wasn't clean. Cobwebs in the corners, stained carpets, dusty and dirty . A general feeling of being unkempt. The kitchen was very poorly equipped. There is a welcome pack with basic cleaning bits, but there was only one small saucepan to cook with, no microwaveable dishes, and the oven was dirty. I would suggest taking pots, pans, baking trays, plastic tubs, knives and forks if you intend eating at the apartment.

nice but could have been better for our stay

Modern design of an old building and paint scheme nice. roomy and bright, plenty of hot water and pressure good for shower. not far to Barry beach or docks nice walk to get there reminded me a bit of Holland. I can see the concept and it will appeal to young people

The noise from downstairs is far to loud for us older folks, maybe if i was the other end of the building be ok. People smoking outside the front door leaving cups on the floor, screaming, shouting, drunks, cars doing about 70 out the front in a 30. Remote battery's dead,, clock battery's dead,not that clean the 55 quid cleaning charge is a joke. The mattress was so bad i was going to buy a blow up bed from Argos and use that. Slat snapped under bed as well, lamp falling apart, bit of mirror glass on the floor. You can park out the front or the road close by. The 10 pound a night car park is 100 yrds away

Fantastic

We loved the location, the bed was very comfortable, the range of cooking utensils etc… free cleaning pack, toiletries being provided, the easiness of getting the keys. We will definitely be coming back

The tv remote in the livingroom was very sporadic which was frustrating sometimes, the tv in the bedroom wouldn’t turn on so either the remote wasn’t working or tv not working. We wasn’t in too much so didn’t have time to watch tv anyway really just thought I would mention so it can be rectified for someone else. Parking was super handy but £10 a day felt a little steep!

Beautiful property in a great neighbourhood!

It's beautiful, it's clean, modern, walking distance to the beach and train, lovely neighbourhood, trendy places to eat, just lovely all round

No air-conditioning. It was very hot and in the lounge there were windows without curtains so no way to block out the sun either. Only thing missing.

A comfortable, modern and clean apartment - loved it!

Spacious, modern, clean and quiet accommodation... very comfortable, and right next to GoodSheds for food, bars and (some) shopping. Nice shower and comfortable bed. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

It was so hot on arrival on a sunny day because there are no blinds on the Velux windows in the kitchen/living space, but leaving them open a little would have allowed more air through. Side windows are lower down so not easy to open and close with the low window frame, but it's the nature of the design of the building.

Very modern, lots of space, Asda superstore around the block, lots of 2 hr on street parking options.

Can be a bit noisy next door bar at night but this was only on Friday and Saturday

Comfortable and well located, with a few little issues.

Clean, comfy flat, well located, had things like showwr gel & shampoo, cool Bluetooth speaker system, easy to access with key safe, nice bars and cafes nearby as well as bug asda if you want to cook there.

All the pans had non-stick coating coming off, would have been nice to have basic cooking things like salt/pepper/oil there. It was also very warm so hard to sleep, but with windows open there was a lot of traffic noise.

Location

Apartments are 'utilitarian'. Sofa uncomfortable. No remote for bedroom TV. We had to chase for a code to enter apartment. All in all a grim experience.

Dirty Oven

First impression was lovely until we wanted to use the oven

We turned on the oven to warm up the smell of old grease was awful looked inside and the pans were covered with it. Got in contact with the office they said someone would be out the next morning. We waited in till 11 but no one turned up. Next day was Easter Monday, still no one. We had to eat out every day ,phoned the office on the Wednesday to complain and was told the oven was cleaned on the Monday. IT WAS Not. The whole place needed a deep clean. We paid 50 pound as part of the price of the rental. Not impressed at all.

Good, but could be better and more comfortable with a few simple changes

Very nice modern apartment Good shower and facilities

-Mattress was disappointing, not very comfy and would bottom out when getting into it - Being given only 1 bin bag isn't good enough, especially for a long stay. No noted facilities for waste disposal - The apartment isn't cheap, and having to pay for parking I don't feel is quite fair. Should have free parking - Not a great range of cooking utensils - Needs more cleaning equipment for kitchen, proper cleaning brush and dish soap. The cleaning kit supplied isn't very good and is very limited Should atleast have a dust pan and brush, and a broom in the apartment

Accommodation poor

It was clean .

Unable to use TV as no signal, no internet as code given to us was incorrect. Access code sent us to side gate to access site after 11pm again was incorrect. I booked an apartment and it was a small chalet. Seething area was a bench which was extremely uncomfortable so had to spend all my time sat on the bed. Advertisement said shops and eatery’s on site but didn’t mention they were all shut on Monday and only one open on a Tuesday. Repeat emails sent to company during our stay with questions/ issues ignored despite being bombarded every day with offers. No one from company available on site. Mantainace line finally answered on second day to be told they were aware there was no internet and TV signals and nothing could be done . Asked for some to contact us which was promised and ignored.

Excellent couple retreat.Comfortable bed.Smart tv.Large space.Connect phone music to speakers in flat .Rainfall shower.Modern .Fully equipped kitchen.If you did not want to cook plenty of restaurants steps away from the Good Shed complex and the high street .Walking distance to the beach in Barry island,bus stop and Barry railway station ( 25 minutes to Cardiff centre).Perfect weather.

Disappointing

Lovely and clean very modern and spacious

The noise from the street outside , unfortunately the bedrooms are on the main road ( also property is above a bar, ) so lots of noises coming from there . Would be ok if you could leave your windows shut but was sooo hot they needed to be open ( maybe fans in room could be a good idea ? . It did ruin it abit for us as our sleep was broken a lot through the night . 😩 tierd for our days adventures

terrible !

it was modern

Got sent wrong code to enter the building so had to wait in pouring rain with cases.When I rang the duty manger who was driving home asked me to ring him back in 10 minutes , We finally had shelter from the weather . There were no utensils , well 2 forks and a knife , no frying pan , 1 pan . leak in en-suite sink hanging off wall . matress filthy! stained , the write up said there would be fresh milk in fridge so didn’t bring any ! there was none the list could go on !this all led to a very miserable stay .

Quiet location good access to town centre and bars.

Lodge itself was very nice however seating area could have been more comfortable but was adequate. Bathroom sink was too small and it failed to have any slow running hot water and shelf on mirror above hindered being able to use sink adequately.
