Location, attention to detail and a lovely oasis in this beautiful city

Firstly the location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Salisbury and it also has parking included! The attention to detail provided by Nicola is exceptional. The apartment is super clean, there was a lovely welcome breakfast pack provided that was much appreciated, there are books and games and lots of lovely little extra, well thought out touches to enhance your stay. We live in ‘the sticks’ so having the armchairs to look out over the High Street were a huge plus and the view of the Cathedral was a delight! We couldn’t fault the apartment and would heartily recommend a stay here - you wont regret it!

2 nights in the city

We absolutely loved our stay and all the little touches that made us feel so special. The location is perfect for exploring Salisbury and the armchairs with views of the cathedral were perfect. Nicola definitely goes above and beyond to make your stay one you will never forget

Brilliant time... hope to go back... highly recommend.

Good communication with host.. on hand if any issues.. there were none.. apartment was spotless.. everything catered for... had also left items in fridge plus tea .. coffee.. bread to allow you to settle in before shopping. Exceeded what I expected. So central for shops .. restaurants.. sightseeing etc.

Fantastic location near to centre for sightseeing and shopping and travel On arrival we found delicious drinks on ice and groceries for breakfast and fresh flowers which were much appreciated after our journey and the apartment had everything we could have possibly needed for our stay ,was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean and our host was on hand for any problems We particularly enjoyed the little garden in the evening sun and the bay window view

This place is worth every penny.

Nicola, our host, could not have been more hospitable. We loved the apartment which has to be seen to be believed . We were amazed by the provisions which Nicola had provided for us. There were; strawberries and cream , croissants, bread, milk, eggs bacon, butter, baked beans , cans of soup, orange juice, a variety of cereals, shortbread, cans of gin and tonic, bottles of lemonade, bottles of beer, a bottle of wine in ice, chocolates and sweets. Towels can be changed anytime you wish. The kitchen is well-equipped. There is a wide range of toiletries even including perfume and after-shave. Nicola has really high standards and this is obvious in every room. Salisbury is a lovely city and Purlins is right in the heart of it. On other visits we have had trouble parking but the private parking made life so easy. We will definitely stay again.

Exceptional

The first impression upon our arrival was overwhelming. One of the nicest apartments we have booked so far. It was well equipped and very quiet despite the central location. Our hostess was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is in a great location in the heart of Salisbury, about 100m from the Cathedral. There were a few restaurants and shops nearby. Salisbury itself is very central, sights like Stonehenge or cities like Bath, Bournemouth and Winchester were very easy to reach. We traveled by car, the apartment has a parking space. Many thanks to our excellent hostess.

Outstanding property and host that exceeded all expectations for location, comfort, service

This was our final stay on a 2 week holiday to England. This property was by far the best managed and kept of our entire stay. From check in to check out, everything was impeccable. The kitchen was well stocked and included numerous items to help make the stay pleasant. It was so nice not to arrive and immediately search for breakfast items for the following day. Cold bottles of cider and a local bitter also helped welcome us. The location for Salisbury and surrounds was incredible. Merely a block away from the cathedral and right on High St. (without being too noisy). Very close to the Market Square as well for the weekend market. We used Salisbury as a base for day tripping to Bath by train (very convenient to train station), Wilton House, Dorset coast, and Stourhead Gardens. The living area was incredibly comfortable with a large bay window for people watching! Parking was convenient. I cannot say enough about our host Nicola (Thanks again if you read this). It was obvious that she sincerely cares and wants you enjoy both her property and Salisbury. I would stay here again without hesitation and recommend that anyone staying in Salisbury do the same.

A real oasis in the centre of a busy town

On arrival at Purlins we were greeted by a quiet and welcoming stairway away from the busy High Street up to the first floor through a beautiful courtyard garden with plenty of sunshine and into one of the most beautiful residences I have ever seen. The kitchen had everything that one could possibly need and more as there had been ample provisions left from the owner which was really considerate and not expected and a definite sight for sore eyes after a long journey! The living room was beautifully furnished with an addition of 2 very comfy armchairs by the bay window which led to hours of people watching on the street below which just a few metres from the main cathedral gate was always entertaining! Up the stairs were 2 very nicely appointed bedrooms and a bathroom with again everything one could ever need. I feel I cannot sum up in words how beautiful and amazing Purlins is and for once the pictures do not do it justice. The real picture has to be seen for yourself!

Exceptional stay, we all enjoyed it so much

The property was roomy and immaculate and attention to detail second to none. The location is excellent, right in the city centre and just a few yards from Salisbury Cathedral. The beds are extremely comfortable, this is a great find, we will return soon. Thank you to the owner for making our stay so great?

Perfect home away from home

Everything was perfect. The apartment was fully equipped with everything you would ever need just as you would at home. The kitchen had a great welcome pack for breakfast, snacks, and drinks which was quite generous. Purlins had thought of literally everything (Panadol, dry shampoo, all sorts of creams, and so much more!) and it exceeded our expectations. Even a 5 star hotel does not offer so much.

That we had to leave so soon! If we are back in the UK again, we will definitely stay here and make this our base.

Fabulous property in a fantastic location. No stone was left unturned to provide us with an exceptional stay. Luxury 5* star apartment with views of the Cathedral.

Purlins is an absolute little gem. The apartment is superb and the little personal touches make this a truly wonderful place to stay. Nicola has gone above and beyond to ensure her guests have a relaxing, comfortable stay. All of the furnishings are of the highest quality right down to the toiletries and towels. You want for nothing at Purlins, everything you could possibly need for a few nights away are available. Sitting in the bay window on an evening people watching, or having a glass of wine in the private courtyard (which has a heater) is an absolute delight. The location is perfect and the private parking space is an added bonus. I cannot recommend this place enough and really look forward to my next visit.
