Friendly staff, a great location.
We were hoping for more. We weren't shown or told how to use the baths, no kettle in the room and we were expecting a traditional tea ceremony as part of our stay.

Anybody who is looking for a truely authentic traditional Japanese accommodation in the heart of Kyoto should definitely stay at this hotel. One of the nicest hotel rooms I ever stayed in. And the host is super welcoming and just charming. Unlike other ryokans this one does not enforce a curfew which is a big plus.

I loved how peaceful the ryokan was. The house, garden and the interior were beautiful. The staff were amazing! They were extremely helpful, understanding and kind. I recommend Yadoya Nishijinso to people visiting Kyoto and I would return in the future!

La chambre n’est pas du tout à la hauteur de ce que l’on voit dans le hall d’entrée. Le style n’est pas le même et il n’y a rien de charmant ni de romantique dans la décoration, l’aménagement et le confort. Du coup c’est un peu cher pour ce que c’est…
