There was plenty of space for the four of us. We did not feel crowded at all. The place had many amenities that we appreciated. It was very handy to have a washing machine and drying racks. There were also extra toothbrushes, shampoo, and conditioner. The tatami room had very comfortable beds . We really appreciated the map of Kyoto that was mounted on the wall. It made it easier to plan our sightseeing. We also loved the location - it was very close to Kyoto station.
The stairs to the upstairs tatami room were very steep. I would not recommend it for people with young children or elderly.

The location was near Kyoto station and Aeon mall (although I walked one big round and ended up finding a short cut on my last night). The house was cosy and the futon were excellent! Always had a great sleep!
The stairs was a little steep for my elderly parents, and was a little difficult for them to go up and down the stairs. But if you’re young and able, this shouldn’t be a problem.

We love this place so much, it’s cute, cozy and very clean! The best thing is the location, very close to Kyoto train station, yet in a very quiet residential alley/弄堂。 we would definitely come back next time, and recommend to friends as well.
The dryer needs work harder.
