Les chambres Berguoises Superbe Chambre au coeur de Bergues

Beautifully restored building with a stunning kitchen breakfast area and courtyard all on a quiet street. Phillipine was one of the nicest people we have met on this 6 country bike tour. We were even able to store our bikes in the courtyard.

The hostess grew up in the town and told us the sites. Her brother owns a nice bistro where we ate.

We absolutely love staying here, this is our third time and it won't be the last. The attic apartment is so beautiful and so relaxing. The bed and pillows are comfortable and we always have a nice sleep. Philippine is an amazing host and has such a good eye for detail. Breakfast is always amazing and plentiful, It always starts our day well... perfect 😊. Berguoises is a pretty town, just make sure you book one of the restaurants several days in advance if you want to eat in one as they get fully booked quickly. There was a nice burger bar though which we managed to find food in, the food was very good. I would always highly recommend Les Chambres Berguoises to anyone 😊.

I was looking for somewhere near to Dunkirk and Calais for our last night of a month long trip around Europe by car. I found this one as we were driving, and it looked amazing in the photos. I booked the room and the communication from the owner was both friendly and responsive. On arriving at the accommodation we were greeted by our very friendly host in the street (where we parked) and she showed us in and took us to our room, WOW. The room was awesome, we had a free standing roll top bath and the hugest shower I think we've ever seen! It was a tough choice, we had a lovely bath, but almost had a shower as well just to try it, but sadly abstained 😂. The room is one of about five or six in a large house, ours was the attic (definitely worth choosing). The bed was comfortable the room was huge, and the décor very nicely done. On the ground floor was a shared kitchen where you could make some tea and coffee, or even cook something! There was a little outside seating area too. Breakfast the next morning was in the kitchen, and was nice with fresh bread and croissants from the local bakery amongst other bits. The town itself was pretty and had enough of everything so that you could get a meal somewhere, although we turned up on a day when most were shut, possibly as it was a little later. We did sit in a nice bar and enjoy a couple of glasses of wine though 😊. We were able to walk down to a nearby patisserie the next morning before breakfast to get some goodies for our onward journey. If you are wowed by the photos on the listing for Les chambres Berguoises, you will be even more wowed by the actual room!

Perfect attic room with excellent shower and big, separate bath tub, nice comfy bed. Thanks to helpful, friendly Philippine for everything, including a hearty DIY breakfast. And Bergues is such an attractive and interesting little French town, with its Vauban ramparts and awesome abbey ruins. Good choices for food as well, though opening times are rather random.

Two flights of stairs to attic, so a lower floor might suit less sprightly 70-year-olds!

It was a very beautiful and comfortable room, wonderful bath, nice breakfast. We enjoyed staying there!

A fantastic experience with a friendly host, a place to store our bikes ... a WOW

The hostess is lovely and very accommodating. The property has been beautifully refurbished, with a very successful mix of contemporary and vintage decor. The room was very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom space is amazing. The breakfast was very good: continental buffet style. If you're thinking of staying in this area, this is the place to be!

Logement exceptionnel avec beaucoup de charme et très bien situé. Accueil très sympathique. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux et copieux. Belle découverte, nous reviendrons!

Tout était parfait, l’accueil de la propriétaire, très chaleureuse.Toute la maison d’hôtes est joliment décorée, notre chambre très spacieuse.Le petit déjeuner très copieux, très bonne viennoiseries.Excellent séjour.

Au bord des canaux, c'est super joli, l'emplacement est top. On peut se garer gratuitement juste devant la maison.. La chambre du dernier étage est très spacieuse et calme. Douche géante. Petit déjeuner très correct.

Hôte très serviable et sympathique. Chouette petit déjeuné. Et surtout très agréables balades dans cette ville fortifié.

Een warme ontvangst, zeer mooie en ruime kamer met alle comfort.

Het ontbijt was sober, maar met verse producten en lekker. Een eitje erbij zou een meerwaarde zijn.

Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Das Zimmer ist sehr gemütlich, toll und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet!!! Gutes Frühstück!! Die Besitzerin ist sehr freundlich. Schade dass wir nur eine Übernachtung gebucht hatten, wir hatten die Unterkunft als Zwischenstopp gebucht. Jederzeit wieder!!

C’est la seconde fois, que nous logeons dans ces magnifiques chambres Bergoises, L’accueil y est toujours tellement agréable, notre hôte Philipinne, est tellement accueillante et aux petits soins pour que notre sejour, se passe pour le mieux, nous avons logé dans la mezzanine ( super cosy) une enorme douche et un bain nous ont fait le plus grand bien, La litterie est super confortable. Le lendemain, un délicieux petit déjeuner nous attendait. Nous avons passé, encore une fois un très agréable séjour, nous reviendrons.

L’accueil, la décoration soignée qui allie avec bonheur modernisme et objets vintages, la chambre spacieuse et chaleureuse, le petit déjeuner copieux et savoureux.
