A good basic pet friendly static caravan

For 2 + dog there was plenty of space and the static van is located in a clean, tidy environment on Haven's site, just a short stroll to Mablethorpe's beautiful beach. The interior was clean with no unpleasant smells.

Basic equipment which I hadn't realised from the description (my fault). Don't forget to take tea towels, kitchen roll toilet rolls dishwash sponge/brush and soap. As may be expected from a dog- and child friendly van, there was some staining on the carpet and dining benches although the carpet is due to be replaced later this week.

Only fact was near town

It smelt, had extremely stained carpet & sofa felt like wiping feet on way out,wasn’t told there was an alarm that needed turning off, don’t expect toilet paper as a curtesy. Ended trip early . Emailed owner but no reply

Good place to go

Caravan bit dated but did the job, very good distance for beach. Clean and nice site.

On arrival you could smell dogs, and the fur was all over carpet and sofas. A bit annoying when you arrive with 2 years old. Big plus for amazing hoover which helped us solve the fur problem.

We had the most wonderful stay at Nutmeg 52 on Golden Sands Mablethorpe! The caravan was absolutely spotless, cozy, and perfectly located—close enough to the amenities to be convenient, yet far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. It really struck the ideal balance. The added perks were fantastic! The built-in speaker system and WiFi elevated our holiday experience, keeping everyone entertained and connected. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the entire space felt fresh, clean, and welcoming. It’s clear that the owners take great pride in maintaining this property to the highest standards. Our family made priceless memories here, and we couldn’t be happier with our stay. If you’re considering booking, don’t hesitate—you won’t regret it. Thank you so much to the hosts for making our holiday so memorable. We’d love to return in the future

Would definitely book this caravan again!

Lovely caravan with really spacious living area, handy having 2 bathrooms plus the shower is nice and big! Well equipped kitchen and plenty of cupboard space. Lots of games in the living room and some books too. Nice to have a bath mat and tea towel included even though we bought our own. Drying rack, hoover and wind break all came in really handy too! Enough space for 2 cars to park Only 5 mins to town/tesco/lidl and although we didn't use it there is a bus service straight into town. The hosts always answered questions quickly and were really friendly and helpful.

The water didn't get very hot which was a shame, boiled the kettle to wash up though and showers were warm enough most of the time- there's never going to be endless hot water with 8 people in one caravan! There isn't a bin in the kitchen so you have to hang a bag which gets in the way a bit.

Family Break

The location was amazing. That is to say, there was plenty to do off-site. The seal sanctuary was the hilite of the trip and well worth the money. The convenience store on site was well stocked, and although slightly more expensive than the high street shops, it was by no means extortionate. There was a Tesco and Lidl a short drive away, so we did the bulk of our shopping there. We were greeted by a family of ducks, which were a joy to watch. They were so sweet.

We paid a total of £182 for 3 adults + 1 child play passes for the duration of our 8 day stay for access to pools and entertainment lounge. What a rip-off. The pool was only open part of the week, and we had no interest in sitting in the entertainment lounge. In hindsight, I wouldn't have wasted the money on them and just gone to the beach instead. The crazy golf was in dire need of some investment. Half the structures were either missing or falling apart. The caravan, whilst comfortable, wasn't the cleanest we've stayed in. The shower was either extremely hot or scorching, and the youngest member of the family couldn't tolerate the temperature of the water. I'm not sure if something was wrong with it. It would also have been nice if an oscillating fan had been provided as the temperature inside the caravan was unbearable at times due to the recent heatwave. WiFi signal was pitiful and, at times, non-existent. Again, I'm not sure if it was a shared system with all the other caravans on the complex. In the end, we decided to come home early as the combination of the caravan temperature, wonky WiFi, and the fact we couldn't get a cool shower in the extreme heat was making everybody's tempers flare.

ideal for a short family holiday :)

loved the 2 bathrooms, so handy. the games on offer were also perfect for a family on holiday, we played every night :) also, there was a large selection of foods and staple items left from previous people which saved us a few pennies on our shop. we also left some food and bits for the next people :) we also arrived earlier than planned and we were allowed straight in which was absolutely perfect with 3 children fed up of being in a car

Great Value Caravan

Very spacious caravan, clean, comfortable and great location. Ideal having two toilets. Everything you need is there within the caravan.....even an umbrella which came in handy!! Contact with the owners was brilliant and all questions answered quickly. 10/10 We had a great stay 🌝
