About this apartment rental
Great 70 m² apartment with lots of natural light that consists of 4 exterior balconies, living-dining room with 1 comfortable double sofa bed, two double bedrooms (one of them en suite), kitchen and 2 complete bathrooms with shower. Apartment is in an old building typical of the Gothic quarter. Both have been recently renovated. The modern and beautiful decoration of the apartment combines perfectly with the old style of the building. The building is accessed from Ripoll Street but the apartment and the main façade face the Plaza dels Peixos (Fish Square). The apartment is completely exterior with four balconies that face the street, it is a 2nd floor with lots of natural light. In its rehabilitation, all the original architectural elements were respected. Public parking very close to the apartment (Avinguda de la Catedral). The building where the apartment is located is right next to the Gothic cathedral of Barcelona, just 500 meters from the port and its adjacent beaches. Due to its unique location, it is not necessary to use any type of transport, being a 5-minute walk from Las Ramblas and Plaça Catalunya. Most of the museums and most important attractions are accessible on foot, however the main Bus and Metro lines are located right next to the apartment. It does not have an elevator like most of the old buildings in the Gothic quarter.
The city of Barcelona has a tourist tax of 5€ per person/ day to be paid in cash on arrival at the apartment.
* If the arrival is later than 20:00h, there will be a surcharge of 30 € to be paid in cash on arrival.
**If the arrival is later than 00:00h, there will be a surcharge of 50€ to be paid in cash at the time of arrival.

My friends and I had an amazing time in Barcelona, accented by our accommodations which offered a peaceful, quiet and clean atmosphere after long days of walking, shopping, sight-seeing and dining! Great location and value!

Great place to stay in Gothic Quarter. Close to shops, restaurants and Cathedral of Barcelona. Neighborhood was quiet and safe. Easy walking to many things to do. Easy check in, electronic access. Clean apartment. Great communication.

This apartment was incredibly conveniently located with shops, cafes a restaurants surrounding. We enjoyed the ease of check in and out and the beds were cozy. The host was beyond accommodating to a last minute request and it made our trip a whole lot easier. I would highly recommend this location both for the ease of access, location being perfect and the wonderful host.

The location was great for seeing the city. Central to all parts of the city. The listing indicated a king bed, it was a queen on a king platform, very disappointing. The drains in the showers need to be cleaned to allow water to flow out and the platform around the shower base was very slippery. The safes were not useable. The second floor requires going up 5 flights. Appreciate maintaining the existing architecture but very difficult to navigate the steep and uneven steps especially with luggage. The request to keep the noise down after 10 was funny because the noise from the street throughout the night (certainly not controllable by the landlord) made sleeping very difficult. We enjoyed our stay but it had its challenges.
