BCN Town Apartments Portaferrissa

Beautiful apartment, modern amenities in a classic setting. Great location, easy to get everywhere in Barcelona from this location. Could not have chosen a better location for me and for my family.

The stairs in the building to get up to the apartment were many. We were in unit 2, which is actually the 3rd floor of the building. While there is an elevator, it's really just for luggage and not for people.

Great location in the Gothic Quarter. Very clean and up to date decor. Daniel and Moises from the rental property were very responsive and quickly helped me re-book the reservation that had been cancelled (see "What didn't you like?" question).

The registration process could be more efficient. Normally when making a reservation through Booking.com, the registration and payment is made directly through Booking.com. While it appeared I was done after making the reservation on Booking.com, the rental property had additional steps that required me to register and add payment details again through a link they provided me. Because this wasn't explained on the Booking.com site when I made the reservation, I subsequently missed the additional email from the rental property and they cancelled my reservation after a 24 hour period. I only learned of this within hours of my arrival and I had to scramble to re-book the reservation.

The location was perfect for us to walk to many of the sights in Barcelona that we wanted to see with many restaurants and shops nearby.

Location, modern style and quality finish

Second bedroom has more in common with a cave than a bedroom and is much too small for two adults to share. The lighting in the small bedroom was awful- no bed side lights for night time meant operating by phone torch so it wasn’t just the full bright ceiling light.
