I came for the UEFA Champions League final match and was looking for a place located between the center of town and the stadium and this hotel is perfectly located. They also offered late checkout at 10 euros per hour which I thought was very reasonable.

I booked the studio (their most expensive room type) at 310 euros per night on average and was expecting more for that. To begin with, the main and really only reason I had booked this room type was that it was advertised as a king bed. Instead I got two twin beds pushed together where you could very much feel the gap between the mattresses. Not at all what I was expecting. At this price you also expect privacy but this room type has no privacy whatsoever. They are all located on the ground floor with a massive window (mine gave towards the inner courtyard of the hotel). There is only a decorative sheer curtain that you cannot move so unless you bring down the blackout curtain everyone sees right into your room. So you can’t have natural daylight into your room without exposing yourself to the public (the courtyard has a sitting area for guests which looks straight into your room). The design isn’t very helpful either the bathroom downstairs and the bed upstairs. So if you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the light you have to go up and down steep stairs while sleepy. The hotel doesn’t automatically clean your room (again, at this rate I find this ridiculous). To have it cleaned you have to put out a doorknob sign asking to have it cleaned by 6am latest. And they’ll come clean anytime from 9am onwards (so can’t sleep in). I had my Do Not Disturb sign on and the places the cleaning sign when I left around 11am and they still cleaned my room so don’t understand why the hassle. Personally I feel at this price they should automatically provide daily cleaning service without having to ask for it… There’s no phone in the room. So if you need to contact reception you either have to go there yourself or call using your phone (which is not practical when you are roaming on an Asian SIM card like me…). Finally, I had requested for a large checkout the night before I left and had gotten it approved until 2pm.
