Home from home.

Excellent place, clean, warm, and on the ground floor. Walk out of the door, turn right, walk through a small alleyway, and you're in the center of Peebles. Highly recommend and well worth the cost. Home from home feeling. 👌

The area with the washing machine could have done with a spring clean, and hopefully, the floorboards are now attended to, but the place has a lovely feel about it, so I can't find fault.

Central location, easy parking, very cosy inside, has everything you need for a comfy stay. The bed is lovely but maybe buy some new pillows.

I think the lock could be better and also a motion sensor light outside would be handy as it’s difficult in the dark to see the key box. Also I think the key box should be more clearly labelled. And another point this time is the towels are really small and that hasn’t been the case in the past. Not sure what’s going on there. Otherwise thank you very much xxxx

Clean,tidy and convenient property

Clean and tastefully decorated, centrally located

No comfortable seating. The sofa is a bed and impossible to lean back ( too deep) . As I’m disabled it was not possible to sit comfortably. We did not I tend to be out late so comfort in the property was needed. There was one comfortable chair in the bedroom but we were unable to get it passed the bed to the lounge Alleyway/street outside was dirty with loads of cigarette ends. Probably out of control for the host

Super cosy, convenient and very comfy!!

It’s right in the middle of town so couldn’t be more convenient. I love that there’s a washer/dryer. The flat gets super cosy and the key box is very convenient.

If I’m being super fussy, the bed does fill up most of the bedroom so you have to step round it but that’s really so minor. Also I would suggest a sensor light outside so it’s easier to see the key box when returning late at night. The other things I would point out for other people is that the ‘Wynd’ is sloping and cobbled so bear that in mind if you have mobility issues. Also it is behind a pub so there maybe a bit of noise and there’s an extractor from the pub’s kitchen - neither of these bothered me in the slightest but people should be aware. Thank you for the bottle of wine and Tunnocks xxxx will be back xxxx

The Snug didnt match our expectations based on previous Booking.com reviews.

Location near centre of town, shops and eateries. Bed and Shower were very good.

Sofa in front room was uncomfortable and difficult to relax on in an evening. Kitchen cupboard doors were greasy and some of crockery was dirty and greasy. The bathroom smelt of drains on arrival and the next morning, although this smell cleared once the shower had been used twice.

We enjoyed our stay in Peebleshire hugely: beautiful countryside, great walking, and so much to see.

Very convenient central location. Easy and convenient parking. Very clean flat. All you could need in order to cook and eat. Powerful shower. Ample towelling and bedding.

We found the double bed too narrow - possibly because we're just used to a bigger bed. We found it awkward to sit comfortably on the sofa - though this was almost certainly because it was really intended as a sofa bed - the cushions helped a little but would have provided better back support if they had been thicker/more solid.

The Wynd is a bit grotty but that’s not the Snug's fault. Maybe the Crown needs to keep a better eye on the bins!

A very nice apartment right in the centre of Peebles. Everything needed for a great self catering experience. Shops and Restaurants all with minutes away. Thoroughly recommend The Snug.

Well located flat offering character and charm for a reasonable price.

The Snug exceeded our expectations. We previously stayed there in October 2022 and so enjoyed our stay that we revisited in April 2023 , and found the flat even better the second time around as some renovations had taken place. We found Barry the host to be very helpful and hospitable. The welcome pack was generous and gratefully received , the kitchen was well stocked , and everything was spotlessly clean. The flat has three major advantages over nearby competitors being location , uniqueness , and value for money. The location situated directly off Peebles High Street in a quiet pedestrianised location has all the advantages of having good quality restaurants , and shops close at hand , coupled with historic buildings and lovely country walks. The flat has real charm and character and is a totally different unique experience from the usual bulk standard. accommodation offered. Finally , the icing on the cake is that this experience can be purchased for a very reasonable price thereby offering excellent value for money. Recommended.

The snug is very snug! Delightful place to stay and very convenient for Peebles.

Great little place and aptly named! Lovely and warm, small but all we needed for a weekend stay in Peebles. Both the main bed and the pull-out in the living room were very comfy. The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. They'd even left us a bottle of wine, so kind!

Definitely nothing negative of note about the snug! Just something useful to know for future guests - I'm easily woken by noise so found I couldn't have the window open in the bedroom at night since people outside the pub were very close to the window and there were matches on that weekend. But when closed, almost no noise filtered through. If I were there for longer I'd have worked out how to lower the heating during the night (I'm sure its easy to do) to avoid it getting stuffy, but for just a couple of nights I didn't bother.

A superb location for a trip to Peebles. The flat is spotless and has everything you would need for a stay. Very good value for money I would highly recommend.

Poor reception meaning no use of the TV without Chromecast. We bought a few dvds instead which was fine for us but may be an issue for some guests.

Ideal location. Very good restaurants and cafes. Flat was very comfortable. The shower was excellent. The bed comfortable.

The only slight criticisms, unable to receive the BBC channels on the TV and a slight musty smell in the toilet. Nothing else.
