*Excellent central location opposite St Nicholas Market
*Superb price (was £38 on a Sunday night)
*Cosy vibe as had comfy double bed, blinds which really block out the light and nice temperature room
*Kettle with free tea/coffee/hot chocolate
*Nice shower with free mini toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel x 2 and bar of soap)
*24/7 reception so could do late check-in and arrive at midnight
*Friendly staff
*Left luggage facility (however, it's non-locakble cupboards in the reception but the reception is supposed to be staffed 24/7 so it is leave at your own risk anyway)
Personally, I didn't like the flashing blue/red light on the wall which was noticeable at night but everything else was fab!
Other reviews have mentioned the noise from nearby bars (surely expected from the location) but it was quiet on a Sunday but I brought earplugs anyway, lack of wardrobe (there are clothes hangers on pegs on the wall instead), the bathroom is small and there is no included car parking (you get a discount at the nearby car park though)

Hotel had a cosy vibe, was clean, and staff were friendly. Would definitely book again. Located super close to shopping centre.
Only a slight problem, quilt cover had a tear in it - should have been binned. Also we were initially given 1 and a half toilet rolls, but was resolved immediately.

Good location. Marta receptionist was lovely, kind and helpful. 3 bed room was what we needed. Breakfast was freshly cooked, generous and tasty. Hot chocolate sachets in the room appreciated by the kids. And the honesty snack bar.
It feels as though the owners have sort of given up a bit, it used to be super stylish and now it’s in need of significant maintenance and love. There were damp patches with paint peeling off the ceiling in 3 places in our room and really badly in the shower. The remote control was filthy. My bed was really rickety an creaked badly. The mattress protector on my daughter’s bed was stained. The sheets barely covered the beds and the mattresses were comfortable but you can feel the springs with your hands. The bathroom was once the height of style but now looks tired with grouting peeling my away and cheap toiletries. Downstairs the lounge furniture hasn’t changed in 15 years it feels. It isn’t bad value for money but I really did expect it to be a lot smarter. As I say it feels like the hotel have sort of given up because guests don’t treat things nicely or steal things or something…Also given the lack of parking, a service to help get bags in would be appreciated especially as I was travelling alone with two kids.
We are now in a much cheaper less stylish hotel overall but it’s spotless a the fittings are new so it shows what to can do.
