There was nothing to like about this property other than the walkability to town.
We didn’t like the house, extremely perfumed odor throughout the house, even with our room windows open the odor was overpowering. Insufficient parking which is openly known by owner but is still off putting as a guest. Yard is unappealing, bay view limited- house decor was old and un-inviting. The owner openly does NOT provide included breakfast but will gladly recommend breakfast spots, with that said, this property should be advertised as a self-catering room for rent NOT a B&B.

Excellent and responsive, helpful host.
Squeaky floor, room was small, but wouldn’t deter us from staying again

My room was very clean & comfortable with a beautiful view of the garden and port. My annexed accommodation was tucked away in a quiet little corner, making it feel very private, but only a 10 minute walk to the main shopping/restaurant area of Portree. I booked a single, but my room was spacious with two separate tein beds. The wifi worked fine. There is a slightly hilly walk from the main road, so heavy suitcases will be challenging.
Although it does not offer breakfast, it provides a kettle so you can serve yourself with a nice hot cup of cofee, hot cocoa, or tea anytime along with some packaged croissants, biscuits, and breakfast granola.
I look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Portree.
There should be instructions on how to operate the heater. The room was very cold. I eventually figured it out after a lot of shivering.

The view was beautiful! It was easy to get in and out of the building. Parking was awesome to have. Great walking distance to town. Clean facilities.
Rooms were a bit tight, and sound travels throughout the house quite easily.

Portree too busy.

Booked 2 rooms - husband and I in a king room with view of water and 18 yo daughter in a double room. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had ensuites. Lovely, easy 10 minute walk to the main area of Portree where the restaurants are. Worked really well for us - it’s room only but we weren’t wanting breakfast and there are no staff on site, which is fine - it’s all explained very well in the info the owners provide. Beds very comfortable and tea/coffee/snacks avail in the bedrooms if you need. Great communication from the owners.
Only minor things - There wasn’t a lot of extra space around the king bed (but there is very good wardrobe space for suitcases, clothes and the double bed room had more space around it.) However as we were out all day exploring Skye and having meals out etc, we only needed a bed, we weren’t spending much time in our rooms anyway! There are some common lounge areas but we didn’t go into those. The stairs were a bit narrow for hauling luggage up and down, but again this is only a minor thing as most of our accom in Scotland had stairs! Just something to bear in mind if you have ability/access issues.

A great location a short walk from the centre of Portree. Fine bedrooms and showers. Shared spaces also fine if you want to meet outside of your bedroom. Teas/ coffee and snacks provided
It would have been nice to be able to have perhaps a yoghurt or some toast provided for breakfast- help yourself style. And perhaps a plain biscuit for the room ( barbecue lentil crisps are all well and good but my husband is a bit wary of these with his first cup of tea in the morning

Room is nice. Great view from the room. Easy parking in front of the house (make sure to read the instructions).
Room you come in is very smelly (we’re in the annex), it’s the shared room before you get to your own room. The common room is OK, but would probably feel weird to use. We didn’t and saw no one who did.
Check out at 10 but check in at 4 is also weird.
Price is shocking for what you get, but I suppose Skye is pricy overall.
Wouldn’t come back.

The host was incredibly warm and welcoming! Couldn’t have been a better introduction to the Isle of Skye. And what a location! Close to every hike and activity we wanted to do.

The view from our room was beautiful. Peter and Elaine were just lovely. Elaine makes a great breakfast. Loved peters sense of humour.
Felt the room/en suite were a little small but I’m just being picky. The room was adequate for our needs. It was spotless.

Excellent breakfast with fresh cooked food and many, many choices. Friendly hosts but not intrusive. 10 min walk to town center. Nice view of the harbor.

We stayed in one of the rooms in the annex. The room is very small but cozy. The WiFi was spotty at best so we just used our own portable Skyroam WiFi hotspot. It is in a nice location. Only an easy 10 minute walk to the city center. Breakfast was hot choices to order and a buffet of cold items including fresh fruit and yogurts. Breakfast is served in a wonderful glassed-in gazebo with views of their gardens and bird feeders.

This guest house was ideal for exploring Skye. We were provided with an excellent breakfast which kept us going well in to the afternoon.
The hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable about the Island and keen to help their guests.
The parking area is quiet small, a bit nip and tuck, especially if you have a large vehicle, there is a designated area for one

The breakfast. Poor quality, especially the bread. Small portions of cooked breakfast.
Could not get in until 5pm so had to wander around in rain for some time.

lovely owners and delicious breakfast.
my only suggestion is to allow a 9:00 am breakfast time. 8:00 and 8:30 is a tad early.

We had a lovely room with a sea view and plenty of storage space as well as our own bathroom with large shower and towel dryer. The best part of our stay was our lovely hosts Peter and Elaine, who gave us great recommendations, helped with luggage and wet things and made our stay sweet with their warm hospitality! The guest house is just outside Portree, which is about a 10 minute walk away. It was pleasantly quiet. Since there is not much room for many guests, we were able to talk to other guests during breakfast in the beautiful conservatory. It is also good to watch the birds in the garden or browse through one of the books. For breakfast, you can choose from a rich Scotish breakfast the evening before. This is freshly prepared by Elaine in the morning, so it takes a while. But we were always treated to coffee and could already take flakes, yoghurt and fruit from the buffet. There are two breakfast times: 8:00 and 8:30. We enjoyed our stay very much and can only recommend it!
Everything was great!

We stayed here for two nights in early September. Our room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and we had a super view too. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. The property is tucked away from the busy streets of Portree so if you don't mind walking for a few minutes to reach the local restaurants and amenities it is superb.
There was nothing to dislike !

Peter & Elaine are super friendly abd helpful. Enjoy the nice chats in the dining room. We love the room overlooking the wetland and rhe loch. Veey quiet and peaceful. The room is well maintained, very tidy. We love the breakfast too with choices to offer. We feel at home.
Just minor issues: The place us a bit far from the tiwn centre, about 15 minutes on foot Not an issue at all for those who drive. Another one is the water pressure is quite low. Again, not a big issue that affects our overall impression if the service provided.
