Meadowbank Guest House was a good value for the area. It was walkable to town and had a lovely backyard that looked toward town and the sea. It provided free parking for our car, and the check in/check out system was easy. We appreciated the snacks and drinks that were provided by the property.
I understand that Meadowbank House does not provide breakfast, which is fine. However, it would be nice to give guests a small refrigerator to use during their stay for some cold food items. Also, the room was very small, as there were two beds.

The room was comfortable, if a bit snug. Great view of the water. Ruth was very helpful when I was getting settled.
Couldn't turn off the towel warmer, so the bathroom - and the bedroom - were much warmer than I like, even with the windows open all night. Not having breakfast and the distance to town was a little inconvenient...especially if you don't have a car.

The whole house is given over to visitors with a large and comfortable shared lounge and conservatory. There is a smaller lounge too. The kitchen is well equipped to do your own breakfasts. There is a lovely garden and a path to take you down to the shore of an inlet. It's well situated with a short walk to the town centre and the port.
The bedroom and shower room were very cosy but the bed was comfortable and good views from the window.
