the location is really scenic and gorgeous, really quiet (except sheep noise lol). the cottage was beautiful. i’ll definitely be staying again.

The keys were in the door so we didn't have to get them from the lock box as advertised. Nice and easy. The bedrooms were small - very narrow space to walk around the bed as the foot of the bed was almost right up to the wall. It was a lovely cottage - for people who want to be close to a town, it is not ideal because it is quite far from anywhere resembling even a village - it is very much a country farm location (which we loved). It is very quiet and the cottage sits next to 2-3 others so it is not completely isolated. The location is close to Morecambe Bay which is great - but the drive to Windermere can take at least half an hour and further north shore locations will take at least an hour, just because the roads are narrow and slow and go up to quite high elevations before coming back down again. If you want to place that allows you walking access to the towns like Windermere, this is probably not for you. All amenities were great and spacious (apart from the bedrooms). There is only one main bathroom so its not ideal for larger groups of more than 2-3 people (also only 1 roll of toilet paper in said bathroom - should have been at least 2 in my opinion). We really enjoyed ourselves despite a few niggles.
Bedrooms were smaller than we expected. Toilet paper - should have been more than 1. Only 1 bathroom which is not great for 4 people (there are beds for 5 people in this cottage).

The living areas were very spacious, everywhere was immaculately clean. It had a lovely cosy feel. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were very comfortable, the shower was lovely and hot. The cottage was nicely decorated. We really enjoyed the hot tub too which we were able to use on all 3 nights of our stay.
There was very little not to like, the only thing to mention was that it was a bit too warm at night.
