Excellent stay over the new year. We always stay at these apartments when we come to Barrow.

Aquired them from the lock box outsie the apartment. Code was sent to me via message on the day before we arrived. Nice and easy.

Could do with a decent chest of drawers in the smaller of the two bedrooms.

Such a great weekend away in a beautiful apartment which felt very secure and very homely, clean and luxurious!

Location and parking was fabulous. The apartment was spacious and exceptionally clean. Everything we needed was to hand the facilities in the apartment were great. All the rooms felt spacious and the whole apartment had a really nice homely feel with some lovely decor. We especially loved the picture in the hallway showing what the apartment previously was before conversion.

Just personal preference but found the pillows a little hard. Softer pillows were provided which was thoughtful but then too soft. Couldn’t get the sky tv working just kept saying no signal so we had to use our own Netflix login.

Our two bedroom unit also had a large kitchen/lounge area which made for a very comfortable stay. Facilities were up to date and the kitchen was well equipped. It was ideally located near a large supermarket and restaurants.

A super clean and spacious apartment with all the essentials for a great stay.

The place was spotlessly clean and really well maintained, which made it a joy and pleasure to stay in. The space was surprisingly large, with plenty of room to spread out, and the beds were big, comfy, and fresh. They had loads of fans to keep things cool during the hot weather, which was a lifesaver. We had everything we needed, from plenty of clean towels to free Sky for entertainment. It felt like they thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and hassle-free. We had 2 full baths and around 4-5 showers and there was no water cut off or limitation that we experienced as other reviews pointed out. We experienced no noise, banging or disruptions outside and the car park had plenty of room and situated right outside the rear entrance with no cost. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nothing at all but if I'm being extremely picky, air conditioning would be a great addition but the UK weather rarely gets hot enough to require one and there's plenty of fans for all rooms.

Overall it was enjoyable however the hot water issue dampened our stay.

The bed, and cleanliness and maintenance of the property.

Water facilities was poor. No hot water after 1 bath. Only found out about this after the fact, my son couldn’t get out of the bath with clean hot water which was a massive disappointment. The hot water issue should really be advertised. Also room should have a modern tv with Netflix.

Nice but....

Noisy from road as we were on ground floor. Woken up a few times with people fighting outside at night. Water limited for bath and shower and if more needed you have to text a number for boost and wait 30 mins?! Not great for wanting a shower or bath before going out in morning. TV in bedroom not working as on Freeview but no signal.

I really appreciated the smooth check-in process and the quick, responsive communication from the host. The cleanliness of the place stood out—it was spotless and clearly well-maintained. The space was nicely set up and thoughtfully arranged, which made for a comfortable and welcoming stay.

Honestly, everything was great. If I had to suggest anything, it would be to include a few more toiletries like body wash, shampoo, or even a small pack of toothpaste. These small touches could really enhance the guest experience and add a more premium feel, with very little added cost for the host. Just a suggestion—but overall, it was a wonderful stay.

Upgraded to the Penthouse Loft, a lovely clean, spacious, modern well appointed two-bed apartment on the second floor of this smart block of apartments. Situated in a quiet location with private car park Abbey Apartments are near local shops, bars, restaurants, retail parks and the train station. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent self catering facilities. Glorious sunny weather throughout great for enjoying walks with friends on nearby sandy beaches. Abbey Apartments makes for a perfect stay.

Ideal as a base, and a fabulous apartment. Would stay again!

The apartment was very big and had everything you needed. Really comfy and clean. We were a close drive to the Abbey, which was amazing to see. There is a tesco very close by if you need food, drinks etc., along with other major shops and Tesco petrol station.

We were on the ground floor, so the only downside was having a bus stop right outside and the area seems pretty run down, which was sad to see, BUT it was a good base to get to other parts of the Lake District.

Clean, comfortable and convenient. What more could you need.

Stayed in the penthouse apartment, it was very clean, modern and super comfortable. Free on site parking and Wifi. The host message just before our stay regarding key collection and appeared very welcome and friendly. Situated close to local shops. We ate out at a lovely little Italian which was a short walk away. I would definitely recommend.

If I had to pick something that I could change it would be the area. Seemed a little sad and run down on the high street. But it didn’t impact our one night stay and once in the apartment the outside no longer mattered as the interior really made up for it.
