Heating was problematic, used electric heaters…couldn’t get central heating on ,TV …couldn’t get that to work 🤔 …no ventilation

Great for a working base in Barrow!

Great place for someone working at the Base or in Barrow-in-Furness on Business - spacious, well-equipped and functional - we will definitely book again if it becomes available. It has everything you need and is quite comfortable. Not sure I would recommend it for families on holiday as the street outside is a bit dark and foreboding with no streetlights, as is the back entrance and, as a few people have said, there is a slight damp smell but don't let that put you off - there is no damp - it is just a very long apartment and the windows and doors are all at one end - nothing a wee bit of ventilation wouldn't sort out. All in all it is great - really good option for a working base I would say - we will book again whenever we can.

Not a bad choice for a short stay.

The property is in a good location if you are planning to visit Lake District. The town itself was peaceful and only 45-60mins drive from Lake District. Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, Shell were all very closely located. The property had a pub nearby but still no loud or unpleasant noises late on. We loved the spa bath. The property was clean with all the basic facilities provided by the host. And I loved the communication, it was to the point, timely and detailed.

The beds were not comfortable. There is a lack of ventilation in the bedrooms and bathrooms due to which there is odd smell in those places if you turn the air fresheners off. There were too many air fresheners.

Very clean apartment and very beautiful. It has everything you need. The area is very quiet. We loved that pets are not allowed here,because it's hard to find one when you have an allergy. The location is very convenient because it's close enough to the lake district and allows you to enjoy the sea in Barrow-in-Furness. Would definitely come back again

Horrible and spoiled my partners bday and engagement

We turned up at the property, hadn’t been cleaned properly, mess all over the floors, dirty trays in the oven, oven was a mess too, stains all over sofa, dirty bowls left on top of the fridge, dirty microwave, the bathroom had all the previous occupants wash stuff in too 🤮 plus the shower had loads of BLACK mould growing in it! The bedrooms have 0 windows in or ventilation so it’s boiling hot when trying to sleep (we hardly got any) called the owner she was on holiday so she sent the cleaner back out, well that was a waste of time as she didn’t belive it was dirty 🤔 refused to refund us!! So will be taking up with my bank and building regs as no ventilation in bedrooms is illegal.

when trying out the jacuzzi, it was noticeable before getting into the water that the water wasn’t the cleanest which was a bit off putting

Impressive

Not only did it have a bathroom (including an actual spa bath) but also had a separate WC. Well stocked with toiletries (but brought own anyway), had left a few sachets of milk in the fridge to put us on, had ice in the freezer and tin foil for grill. Heated flooring in the living room and dining room.

The only real drawback was both double beds were quite low down so people with knee/leg issues may struggle a little, other than that, spot on.
