The apartment room was nice and comfy with plenty of space. The restaurant food was really delicious seafood.

The room was good enough but a bit expensive. The restaurant was with a big delay to provide a table, food was not ready after 20 minutes of waiting and we had to ask for another plate because they ran out of mussels so we had crab. We ordered small portion of crab but they got medium piece of crab instead. We waited more than 20 minutes for a cracker to split our crab to be able to eat it at all. Nevertheless, food was a bit expensive. They had not enough crackers to smash crabs which feels a bit weird.

Cost and full of character. Friendly staff. Dinner was lovely

A remote Waternish location, which provided an authentic Western Skye experience. The hotel was surprisingly busy in the evening but, although compact, the rooms were quiet and comfortable. The bar and dining room were a riot of fascinating eclectic memorabillia and the food and service were excellent. The local seafood was particularly well prepared and presented. Breakfast was also very good.

Did not get a chance to explore the beaches due to poor weather. But what can you do?

The toilet in our bathroom made a loud noise after flushing which meant that we couldn’t use it at night for fear of waking people up. The loo holder was broken. The room and bed were small - no room for our luggage and my husband who is 6ft 2 was too big for the bed. There was no shower gel on arrival. Towels/tea were not replaced without being asked during our 3 night stay. Given the cost of the accommodation we were disappointed. Finally my husband is vegetarian (and doesn’t like goats cheese) the veggie tart on the menu was not available on the 3 nights we stayed there (despite them knowing he was veggie). The chef did cook a mushroom risotto one night but on our final night there was nothing for him to eat but chips (we asked if an omelette was possible but apparently not. There wasn’t anyone who seemed overall in charge and no one around when we left for us to speak to about this.
