Relaxing holiday with family and friends

First time in Albania, we really liked to hotel. The location is a little way out of the main town, but there is a great deal of development going on, and soon the hotel will be in the middle of the city. The breakfast was good. we had the swimming pool basically to ourselves.

Great if a coastal holiday

The room was fantastic, upgraded to a suite. The food was great and breakfast plentiful.

Staff were polite but only when you spoke to them. There was no warmth or friendliness, they were there to do their job. So much building work going on around the hotel, well all over Vlore.

Good value and well located hotel with lovely staff.

Very clean and big spacious rooms. Good location a short walk from the main promenade but also easy access to the beach side bars.

The beach outside is a quite dirty with cars driving up it and a lot of rubbish. Not the hotels fault of course.

Underdelivered but great potential.

Outstanding location—perfect for exploring, beach clubs and dining out. The staff were wonderfully friendly and genuinely helpful. Our room was spotless. The hotel's decor was stylish and appealing. There was a huge pool, with ample loungers always available.

Breakfast selection was quite limited. We were disappointed by the active construction on the hotel beach, which was happening despite prior confirmation from the hotel that there would be none. Our room location was poor: it was next to a noisy lift that played music, frequently disturbing our sleep. Poor soundproofing meant we heard significant noise from the hallway, particularly during late-night hours. The in-room Wi-Fi was unreliable and weak; we often had to use the balcony for a consistent connection. The shower temperature randomly fluctuated between scalding hot and icy cold.

the hotel is nice and it is a pity we did not enjoy of it.

the shower was not so good. Not fluting water. The air conditioner was just on our head and shoulders and we were covering us all the night in order to get worm. I told the reception that we were frizzing the nights and to turn the air conditioning to the cellar instead of the bed, but unfortunately they did not do anything. It was quite difficult to sleep.

Warm reviews about the hotel

We closed the hotel right at the 90th minute and it was a great decision. Lovely hotel, spacious rooms. With a sea view. Very large pool, spacious lobby, outside overlooking the sea. We took two rooms and the room for 3 comes with a bed, this is important and not a sofa bed. Very good breakfast. The staff was lovely, so smiling, warm, welcoming with love and patience. Excellent cleanliness, everything we asked for was answered quickly and patiently. We were very pleased with the hotel and our stay there. Book a very spacious hotel. Close to the center.

The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. Very clean and wonderful breakfast buffet. Family friendly and very accommodating.

The beach wasn’t what I was looking for. This is not necessary a bad thing, it is personal. If you have small children, in fact it is preferred because you need to walk very far inside to reach a bit deeper see, which is wonderful and safe for small kids. But for teenage kids might be a bit boring. Despite this you have wonderful beaches just 5-10 minutes from the hotel for more interesting adventures for the teenagers.

Good hotel in not so good location

The hotel is fairly clean and room were specious and very clean.

The staff especially SOME waiters were slow and not very nice. The location is not great, and surrounding properties were dirty and falling apart. The beach is public and about 100 yards away which was also dirty. The worst is the great amount of sparrow nests around balconies that fly around the facility, pool, and parking doing their business all over. lack of parking is another minus. The restaurant closes from 3 till 7 which leaves people checking in after 3 with no food options. menu also very limited, breakfast is decent.

Fine for one night

The staff was welcoming and friendly upon checkin and during each interaction. They responded quickly to messages and were helpful with suggestions. The bathroom was comfortable, and I loved the lighted/heated mirror. There was free parking along the side of the street, and the staff was helpful in letting us know where we could park and that it was monitored by cameras. The pool looks nice and there were a ton of families and kids using it when we checked in, but it was a bit chilly for us! For families with kids, there is a playground as well, which kids were using until night time.

It seems that the hotel is either just finishing construction or is undergoing renovations. The parking garage was not available as it was under construction, as well as the spa. The pillows were not great - the kind that instantly deflate the minute you put your head on them. I would love to see two different pillows available on the bed, or in the closet, or available upon request. You couldn't really go out on the balcony, as there were so many birds flying around out there, they were obnoxious and we were concerned one was going to fly into the room! The view was ok, if you looked past the dilapidated motel behind the pool area. The breakfast was mediocre - it did the job, but it wasn't great. The location was fine, but in hindsight, I should have chosen a location closer to the Lungomare Promenade for more restaurants, etc.

The Perfect Hotel for a Holiday in Vlore

The location and the facilities such as the swimming pool. The view from the room is also great. The hotel is also close to the waterfront Promenade.

The Croissant at breakfast was hard and had filling. I prefer soft croissants without filling .

Highly recommend the Kraal - book it now! 5*

The Kraal was a little out of town but was located directly on the beach with stunning views. It was a little quiet as we stayed out of season but that is perfect for me. A short walk in to the town centre (5 minutes) and has a few bars/restaurants within a stones throw including one actually on the beach. Rooms are fantastic and we were lucky enough to receive a free room upgrade which was amazing. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Really great hotel. Over all stay was absolutely amazing staff all were very respectful

The hotel is in perfect location for families , which have kids and wants to swim safely also has sandy beach next to hotel , we arrived in May and hotel had no sun beds yet on beach , but that’s expected as season kicks off 1st June

Hotel mention that had private car park , but when arrived was construction happening in underground parking 🅿️

Great place

Hotel is very nice, decorated in good style. Room was spacious with big and comfy bed. Breakfast was tasty and staff of hotel very friendly. In the hotel was possibility to pay by card which is not so obvious in Albania 😉 Guestes of hotel can use nice and big pool. Next to the pool is small but nice area for kids with playground. Hotel is lokated relativly close to the promenade full of restaurants.

There were no hangers in the room to hang anything, even a jacket. In the bathroom, there was also nowhere to hang a wet towel after bathing. It would be nice if there were also some glasses, a kettle and a table on the balcony. There is also internet to improve, the power in the room was very weak. These are just details, but still very annoying. One more thing. The beach behind the hotel isn't the most attractive for relax.

Comfortable but things to work on

The room was large and airy. Really spacious. Bed was good quality,very comfortable. Air con kept us cool. Modern hotel, Pool area. Views of the sea and direct access.

The breakfast could have been alot better. It never changed, no variety and there were some days where flies had covered the fruit, I went to take a croissant and loads of tiny flies flew off them too. Eggs cold, warm food not kept warm. Overall not appetising. Perhaps covered trays which one can slide open and shut. Coffee and juice at breakfast also needs changing, juice was terrible. Nice modern comfortable hotel but this needs to be improved upon given the price. Also, housekeeping would change towels etc but did not remove dirty glasses etc until specifically asked. This should be part of the upkeep of a room. It says soundproof but I could everything from other rooms and the corridor. Nice hotel but I think considering the price, these are things I'd expect to be improved upon for it to be at that higher quality hotel standard.

There is room for improvement, food was ok, we paid all inclusive. Was pretty much same food every day. There wasn’t any

Very clean, everyone at the hotel very polite and helpful.

That they didn’t have rooms for bigger families. We had to stay in separate rooms, and first 2 days in one room, than we had to move to a different room. A bit uncomfortable moving from one to another and being separated with kids. Only one evening was Albanian folklore dance group. Was very nice and entertaining. I wish hotel did more for kids, the playground is very unsafe, some of the playing area was broken. They could do Pilates or Yoga, water sports, evening were very very boring very quiet. We left one day early. It wasn’t the best experience.

Room for improvements

Access to beach and beach beds

Not to happy with our stay, we were downgraded to a smaller room without a balcony. Or soundproofing (said so in the booking) - as it was noisy from the hallway and outside the hotel. But we still had to pay almost the same price. We had booked early through booking.com and got a very good price for our family room. We asked for a small compensation but the reception personnel was not very forthcoming. We were told ‘take the room or leave’. Our room also had big gaps by the door so we had flickering of the light as they went on and off in the hallway (automatic lights). The general staff also need to work on their service mindedness as it looked like they didn’t want to be here or help the customers. The dj was playing very loud music by the pool. The beds by the swimming pool was uncomfortable as there were no mattress on them. The beach sun beds was fine, but the beach was not kept clean. Garbage by the sunbeds and in the sea. A bit outside town, 10 min walk. Breakfast was fine, except warm juice.

Everything is perfect, rooms spacious and clean, spectacular sea views, friendly staff, delicious food etc. Pool was really fun and they had some activities during the day such as aqua gym. Also I noticed that the cocktails from the poolbar were really good. The beach was also really nice, clean and the sunbeds were really comfy. I had dinner included in the price, it was buffet. I dont really like buffet meals but they managed to keep the food perfectly hot and clean. Overall an excellent experience, will defined come again!

Delightful!🥰

I had such a lovely time at KRAAL. So lovely that I wanted to extend my stay but I had work to do in other cities of Albania. As a traveler I am not usually impressed with hotels in general. They are so expensive and not worth the price. But KRAAL is different. The pool is huge and perfect for families with children as they have a shallow separate part. Also the activities at the pool were nice. First aqua gym, and then a Dj Set on the evening. They also have a private beach but I unfortunately did not go for a swim. The beach looked clean and comfortable though. Food was very good. Buffet type with a huge variety to choose from. Even though I am vegetarian and here in Albania is difficult to find vegetarian dishes as the traditional ones are meat based, at the buffet I ate comfortably. The deluxe room I ordered was really spacious and the sea view was fantastic. Also I would like to thank the reception girls as they were very friendly and helpful. ☺️☺️

Not as good as i expected.

I liked the food and that the hotel was a bit away from the city noise. Seemed more family orientated. If they could experiment and change the menu of the food from a day to day would be even better.

I didn't like the room. We were 3 people in the room and the location of the third bed made it so uncomfortable during the night being hit directly from the AC. The view from the first floor was not so impressive as it looks in the picture with a very small balcony and not comfy sits. The washroom was very problematic. There was a terrible smell coming from the inside flushing system. Super dissapointing fact. As well there was no divider between the shower cabin and the toilet itself. Making all the shower water going all in the toilet and making it so uncomfortable to use the washroom. Another thing that dissapointed me was the " SPA" service. Way overpriced and they didn't have a room where the massage can be served. They could do the service only outside, in front of the pool with many people around, very unprofessional. Also the front desk was not even trained for the different type of massages that they offer. Once i asked for the difference between them , they couldn't give an answer. So SPA in this hotel is a NO NO NO. No day or night fun activities. This hotel is missing a good management, thats all.

The hotel is very nice, the employees were friendly and very accommodating.

Hallways no AC, too hot. The food was not up to expectations. Not many varieties, and often had to wait for certain foods to be replenished after they were finished. The surrounding areas from the hotel are very unpleasant, I understand that this is more of a city problem but it does hurt the view.

We booked 2 rooms One had a broking curtain on the window facing the sun, which made the room very hot 🔥 The air-conditioning works only when u r in and have the key inserted in the control The telephone in both rooms is not working The save in one room wasn't working We stayed for 3 nights, and none of them was fixed The food quality and choices were below average The staff was nice, but they were lying in explaining why things weren't fixed. I think the management is incompetent
