Absolutely fantastic base to explore the gorgeous Lake Garda area - a true sanctuary

Gorgeous property. Lovely room. Fantastic, accommodating staff. In particular, Manuel the owner who went above and beyond including coming at short notice to pick us up from a restaurant when we were let down by the cab driver. The communication by the team (ie restaurant/taxi bookings etc) was excellent during our stay as was the communication and instructions provided prior to our arrival. The breakfast was wonderful and set us up for the day. The property had a quiet, elegant, relaxed vibe - we loved the feeling of luxury and space and we felt very relaxed during our stay.

Our stay was too short! ;-) Perhaps nowhere really to sit in our room (Loggia) as it was either the bed or the bathroom. My husband had to do some work during his stay and found it easier to do this down on the breakfast terrace. Not a major - just an observation.

Simply a perfect stay to REWIND and RELAX, Grazie Mille!

Breakfast is excellent - a pity this location has no restaurant but there many location in the area to choose from. The entire SPA - SAUNA is behind expectations, that is the bit we really liked. It is also VERY quite , you hear nothing as you are surrounded inside the monastery walls. The design, colors, furniture etc are really well chosen. The honesty bar is a nice plus and the E MTB are also great. Simply a perfect stay to REWIND and RELAX, Grazie Mille!

There could be a little espresso machine on the room and some more complimentary water to drink. We were in room 202, the small windows doesn't really allow much fresh air in the room, but the airconditioning was making it up for that. Room space/size was a little limited with two large suit cases but we managed

For the cost there is no dinner at all at the hotel? The bar shuts at night early and then there is nothing to do in the dark outside area after this. The breakfast was ok but not as good as other hotels in the area. Our room on the second floor had an odd and bad smell like formaldehyde and did not like that window hardly opened and has bars on it so we left early but as we had booked on booking.com were not able to get a refund so I suggest people book with the hotel directly. Did not think much of the town.

is fantastic and understated design! the staff was extremely helpful and when I did a mistake understanding some breakfast schedules they still fed m whole family! breakfast is great with vegan options !

The place is brand new and very clean, the customer service of Alessandro and Manuel is outstanding and way above our expectations. Location is excellent 5 mins away from Riva del Garda, the style of the hotel is breathtaking and very relaxing, highly recommended.

- Almost everything was perfect, some of the ladies at the breakfast need to learn how to smile and be friendly. - We recommend adding a restaurant.

We really enjoyed our stay. the people working there were incredibly friendly. the hotel was really nicely renovated. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay.

The only thing we can criticise is, that there are about 10 really comfortable sun loungers and then there are „normal“ sun loungers. it would have been nice if the hotel had invested in more comfortable sun loungers. but that‘s complaining on a very high standard.

Everything - from start to leaving the hotel. The rooms are great. stylish, clean, minimal. The spa is amazing. The staff are always there to help. The food is delicious. The smells and the sounds of birds from the garden - divine. Really loved our stay and would love to come back.

We liked everything during our stay but if we have to narrow down then we particularly liked the garden (view into the mountains), the spa area and the wooden design of the rooms / aisle.

Great monastery renovation, clean and elegant hotel, with some issues that should be fixed.

Overall it's very clean, modern and comfortable hotel that I honestly recommend. Beautifully restored monastery with good taste design and decor. Location is very good with free parking nearby. Very beautiful and sun exposed garden. Very comfortable bed.

The hotel as minor issues that could be totally replaced to enhance the overall experience. First of all the outdoor pool is NOT heated as stated on the website (or the heating system doesn't work as it's very cold). Such a pity as it's very beautiful as the rest of the garden. Some guest use it most don't... If you don't have a warm pool there should be a mini hot water jacuzzi outside at least... The staff is somewhat clumsy and feel they really dont care much of the well-being of the guest (except the reception which was very nice). Some disorganization was noted, for instance in the check out day the cleaning staff wanted to clean the room at 9:00 and the previous day was only done in late morning/ afternoon. The breakfast was repetitive and some things were not very tasty. Bees over the speck and ham every day!!! Come on! On the first day it's ok but everyday it's definitly an issue that should be fixed (put some covers over the meat!). The bath amenities are somewhat clumsy too. The bath gel and shampoo are amazing, the body lotion is terrible! The mess goes on in the SPA! Staff don't show/explain properly the features of the spa, you just discover by yourself or by other guests. There is a need of some lockers/ change room areas in the SPA. Spots and dirt in the corridor carpets should not appear in such a new hotel. The rooms decor is beautiful but maybe too minimal, there should be more clothes hangers and garbage bins. And to finish the slippers provided seem just too big for must of the guest feet..

Some staff members were not very friendly and somewhat arrogant. Not all of them though, but the majority. Guests need to be treated with respect and fun. Serious and arrogant faces are not the best impression you can give as owners.

Blissful relaxation in former monastery

A beautiful location at the tip of lake Garda, set in a stunning and tastefully restored former monastery, with a beautiful pool, spa and common areas. The high walls surrounding the gardens ensure privacy and quiet, but don’t block the view on surrounding mountains and the Arco castle. Breakfast included fresh local specialties, and staff were both friendly and helpful. Arx Vivendi is a truly wonderful location for a relaxing stay, or from which to explore the upper portion of Lake Garda, visit nearby Trento, Rovereto, or Bolzano, or take advantage of surrounding mountains for hiking or biking.

Absolutely stunning hotel, all brand new. Gorgeous spa looking out on to the garden. Breakfast was fantastic. Reception staff very friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
