An enjoyable stay.

70 Queens Road was easy to find, sparkling clean, and comfortable with good facilities. Having my toddler grandson with us meant the washing machine was a boon and he loved the single bed. We were all comfortable, the games were great for a rainy evening, and there were nice touches such as dishwasher and washing machine pods and tea and coffee and milk pots.

A paucity of teaspoons! Only two teaspoons in the drawer. A tiny niggle.

ok stay but expensive taxis getting to city.

The size of the property was perfect

The property wasn't clean - the loft shower was temperamental. The house we booked was changed last minute and we were not able to walk into Chester with the new property. We spent so much money on taxis over the weekend. We had no option to take this property as Chester was fully booked up and there was 9 of us. Overall the house we ended up in was not up to what we expected

Perfect location

Location was perfect and the property was very spacious and comfortable.

We were given the wrong lock box key code so it took a long while to contact someone for the right one. It was late and we were cold. On entry the front door slammed and the glass broke which caused a few issues but the owner was great and got a repair sorted.

Very good

The property was perfect for us as we were two family friends. Most amenities were present and what was great was that the rooms were spacious and a couple had ensuite bathrooms. It is well located about 1.5 km from the town centre with an Aldi and Home Bargains just across.

Whilst instructions were there to keep the thermostat at a particular level it tended to be slightly cold at nights. There was an issue with the bed slats in our room as a few plastic ends appeared to have been broken previously which meant detachment of the other slats. These plastic ends need to be replaced as soon as possible.

Dirty carpets and kitchen flooring. No bins in some of rooms/bathrooms. Had to request linen for sofa beds. Cooking utensils dirty had to wash before using. Furniture needs a clean.

another toilet needs to be in downstairs en-suite & the bathrooms not clean, appeared to only be cleaned to eye level, LOTS of cobwebs and dust above mirrors and ceiling level. toilet under stairs far too small and leaking sink onto floor.

Big house, near Aldi, nice walk down the canal to town. Not a bad price for the stay

Internet didn't work. Had to phone cause the key box didn't open with the code, place could do with a bit of tlc. Seems like past issues from other guests haven't been looked at. Could do with a good clean.

Spacious house with nice canal walk to centre.

Spacious house with all the basics. Fine for hen or stag quiet weekend away. Nice canal walk to town - paved and takes you too good restaurants and pub. Good quality Chinese take away a few minutes walk towards out of town. Convenient Aldi right across road,

No dishwasher. Odd mix of kitchen ware. Needed a bit of maintenance. Outside areas weren’t safe for children due to steep steps to open cellar which had a dead mouse on steps. Fenced areas speedy access to road so children needed supervision. Didn’t provide sheets for sofa beds. Dust deep in some places like on top of hand sanitizer dispenser.

nice location, but unclean and lacking

The house is a great size for a larger group with big bedrooms and great shared space in the kitchen and living room. The location is good with a lovely 20minute walk into Chester along the canal and Aldi right across the road.

Several issues. The house had not been cleaned properly with dirty carpet in the hallway, crumbs on the floor and surfaces in the kitchen and bathrooms covered in cobwebs and spiders. the downstairs toilet tap didn’t work and a broken wine glass was left in the kitchen. The remote in the living room had no batteries and the main light in the living room did not work. I informed the property owner of the problems and they came and vacuumed the hallway and put batteries in the remote but overall this really didn’t make up for the lack of cleanliness and unmet basics we encountered on arrival. would not recommend or stay here again.

Convenient, practical but lacking in comfort and hygiene

Great location. supermarket across the road, easy parking and easy access to everything we were visiting.

Lack of cleanliness. Beds are worn out and need changing. No condiments or basic kitchen things such as cooking oil. Several blinds were in disrepair. Mould in bathrooms and other areas.

Perfect house for a weekend away with a larger group.

The facility was well stocked so it was easy to relax straight away. There was plenty of space for everyone and plenty of places to sit. Lots of parking so everyone could drive over. Very easy check in and out process. They host was quick to respond to messages and we didn't have an issue stay here.

The quality of some of the furniture was lacking. Some of the beds were missing slats and the rugs were a bit dirty and worn. Therw was bulb out in our room and a broken mirror frame and the kitchen floor was ripped but nothing that made the place unserviceable and for the price I overlooked the issues. It's good value

Needs curtains on the bedroom windows not just blinds as very bright , some of the property is looking a little tired. Location isn't as close as you'd like and around a mile walk into town.

Lovely big rooms with a homely feel, everything we needed, location was great, just a 15-20 minute walk along the canal to Chester Cathedral, City Wall etc. A great base for all the attractions.

Parking, it was a bit tight getting out of the parking area. Also outside space is a gravel area, needed a bit tidying up, weeds etc. We had children with us and they needed a little time outside while preparing meals etc. Although there were some outside chairs/tables they could do upgrading.
