Best price for value

Location is very good, owner very kind. Overall experience is perfect. I needed to print e-ticket and got it done immediately through the owner. The hotel has a nice covered terrace with the best view on Alexander the Great square. Check-in advice is clear and very easy.

The furniture is old, especially the bathroom.

Great location with a view of Alexander square, nice to have a meeting room for our group to meet.

They didnt have breakfast but gave us vochures for the restaurant across the street. The omlets and coffee were excellent!

There was no one around if we had a request, no one at the front desk. One the one hand it was nice to be left alone and the other hand it seemed abandoned.

Cost effective stay

Perfect location, right next to Macedonia Square, with a taxi stop half a block away, and many restaurants and supermarkets. There is no reception but you can always reach them via whatsapp. They let us store our bags after checkout which was very convenient.

Mattress was really uncomfortable, felt more like a sofabed than an actual bed. The hotel is outdated and could do a bit of renovation to freshen up the rooms.

Budget friendly, but at what cost

Location was good

No direct lift access. Sheets did not fit the bed. Dirt around the mattress. Bathroom is a wet room so standing next to toilet to use the shower and get whole room wet. No toilet roll or bath mat in the room. One light would not turn off so i had to unscrew the bulb.

Good hotel in perfect location

Perfect location, just off the main square of Skopje. Room had everything what I need. OK, maybe it is quite oldy but if you are not staying over there for your honeymoon then I don't for me nothing more is needed. Comfy beds. Good contact with the owner. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops around. Definitely will stay there again.

Cockroach infestation! Threats and abusive messages!

Location: Well located in the city centre, with an amazing view over Macedonian Square. Value: The room was what you'd expect for the price (if i didnt encounter the issues).

Cockroach Infestation: Encountered 6 cockroaches during a 2-night stay (photos provided) indicates a serious hygiene issue. No Receptionist: No staff available on-site to report problems during the stay. Threatening and Abusive Messages: After leaving a review, the hotel initially offered a refund, but later sent violent and personal threats when the I followed up. Unpaid Refund: A refund was promised but never delivered. Poor Hygiene: Shower basin had a noticeable and unpleasant stain (photo provided).

Was good to be near to the square but would not recommend or return to this place.

Reception staff unwelcoming. Light fixtures missing. Peeling paint, dirty walls. Power sockets came out of the wall when you pulled a plug out. Only under sheet provided. Unusual towelling thing which we used as a top sheet as we did not trust the cleanliness of the duvets in the cupboard.

the facilities like terrace and kitchen were not in the room but shared, this wasn't mentioned. The shower cabin was dirty and leaked all over the bathroom floor

Supreme location to explore the city

The hotel is on the sixth floor of a building located in the very center of the city. A million-dollar view from the common room (terrace). The room and the bathroom are of decent size. Clean and quiet. We were contacted by the property ahead of our stay, photos and additional information provided. A car park is right across the street. We felt very welcomed. I am grateful to Darko for all recommendations and tips!

Good for transit

The location is ideal, right in the middle of the city, with a view on the main square of the city. It's a decent option if you are in transit and you want to visit the city. The place is very clean and has AC.

Quite difficult to find, as the hotel actually occupies only the last floor of a building and it is not visible marked. The furniture in the room and the bathroom facilities were old.

Great location with helpful staff, perfect for a few nights to get to know the city

The hotel provided a taxi to get there from the airport in the middle of the night so our check-in could be flawless. The location is amazing, right next to the main square, within walking distance to the old Bazar and other sightseeing places. There was a misunderstanding with how to pay the taxi fee that was handled very adequately from the hotel side.

Great location, right in the center of Skopje. The room was nicely furnished and the bed was comfortable. We had a nice time there. Hope to return someday.

Best value in Skopje

Unbeatable location right next to Skopje's main square, which is on the side of the river that feels safer, by the way. I wouldn't recommend staying around the bazaar area, although during the day it's not too bad. The price I paid was great value and it afforded me a quiet and pleasant stay. Square Hotel is the place I would like to go back to if I return to Skopje, which I might do!

The safe in the room was out of order but it didn't really bother me.
