Amazing hostel at Skopje

I liked everything about it. Super comfortable beds, there are curtains, bathroom were clean. The staff were super friendly, it felt like they were your friends more than just staff members. The common area was also very cozy, great to spend time there and chill. The location of the place is like a 10 minute walk from the city center, just far enough for it to be quiet yet convenient. Anyways, wonderful place, would highly recommend.

Great base in Skopje

I am travelling solo on a bike and used one of the private rooms. It was perfect - comfortable and there was secure storage for my bike. The staff were helpful and friendly, making it a great stay.

The location is a 30 minute walk to old town, their description is a bit misleading as it says 10 minute walk into the center but everything was much further than that

Pleasant stay in a residential area

Friendly and helpful staff! Home-like feel, with a big garden outdoor area. Clean and comfortable stay.

Location was a decent walk from the main square in a suburb area. It was nice and quiet though being located in a residential area. The mattress in my room was hard, but maybe that’s normal in Macedonia.

Good hostel and facilities with friendly owners.

Good hostel. Excellent common facilities inside and outside. Good kitchen. Curtains on dorm beds. Host kindly baked a cake for everyone on my last night. Excellent written details on board of how to get to main areas of interest.

Dorm was very small. Hostel was really crowded on first few days with large group. Location up steep hill was difficult to find and hard work. Photocopied map of Skopje provided was not very useful.

Overall it was a good stay. Due to very good reviews maybe I was expecting little more than what I saw. The woman staff was very kind with me and gave me good suggestions for local food !

I didn’t like the attitude towards me the staff guy took. But it’s ok. I tried not to care about it. The location is a bit far, not much but still a bit distant

Hi Skopje Hostel

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The kitchen and the toilet was very clean and neat. The toilet is spacious and it is always clean. They had laundry as well. They had all the utensils in the kitchen. A very good hostel to stay in. Highly recommended. I enjoyed my stay.

The location is about 15mins away to the city center, it's quite a distance. And it can be very tiring for backpackers as you have to walk up the slope mostly. Otherwise, its a great country and place.

Thank you - had a great time in Skopje due to this awesome hostel

I'm a veteran of 30 years and 115 countries of backpacking, and this was one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Extremely warm and so comfortable. The beds are fantastic - you fall asleep straight away! The living area is lovely to sit in in the evenings and Dragan keeps the fire going. There is a terrific shower! I loved morning running from here - down to and along the river and back up the hill. Dragan and his family (including the dog) are so kind and hospitable and give you all of the information and suggestions you could ask for. It's also great having the big sign out the front so it's easy to find.

Why we stay in hostels -- a home away from home!

We adored HI Skopje -- it was such a lovely stay and we felt so welcome. This is one of our favourite hostels and we just adored getting to know Marina, Victor, and Dragon. The location is truly beautiful and we were so comfortable throughout our stay. From the common area to the neighbourhood, then their adorable dog and the returning travellers, everything was so great it was really hard to leave. Thank you for everything!

I had a hard time finding the place because I didn't have internet, but the hostel owner is very helpful. The common area is gorgeous, served morning coffee. I loved it so much I wish I could have stayed longer.

Superb

The host is really nice!! He offered to come get us from the airport and helped us plan our stay in Macedonia. Another great thing is the hostel dog, really added to the experience. We had a private room from the two of us. It was a really spacious room. The hostel was a 20 minute walk away from the city centre, for us this wasn't a problem.

The hostel is near to a road where a lot of cars travel by, during the day but also at night. We didn't expect this.
