Skopje Downtown Hostel

The beds were super comfortable, even though the bottom ones didn’t have much height.

Pricey for North Macedonian economy, but actually normal for the hostel market price in Skopje.

Friendly staff, great common area and kitchen. Location is super close to everything and is across the street from grocery store.

Only 1 bathroom to share between 10 people.

The staff especially the lady at the reception was super amazing and had good vibes. The beds were super comfy and the room was very big and didn't cramped at all The lockers were big enough to store a backpack. The room also had the balcony which was a game changer which you open during the night for fresh air. Towels are available 2 EUR. There is a super market nurse opposite the hostel which makes a big difference and there is a bakery just at the back of the hostel.

The distance from the city centre is 15 min and from the bus station 12, both of them can be very challenging when you're tired, but you get what you pay. Washing you'll have to pay 5 EUR. Which is way too much. They don't have the card machine, although it was explained but it'll be good to have an option to pay by card and don't have to withdraw the cash. Having only 1 bathroom for 2 eight rooms is very challenging, I had to wait many times, sometimes even 10 min to use the bathroom. The bathroom doesn't have the glass on the other side, because of this water spread all over the place, they should put another glass, to stop the water going the whole bathroom, it could be difficult for others.
