Cozy hostel.
Great location next to the bus station.
The staff was really kind and helpful.

I was just focused on picking the cheapest one, so I didn't really care. The host is communicative and his helper was also sweet. I liked the vibe and the fact that it was quiet, so you could even read in the living room in peace, or have a smoke with a parking view in the terrace. I mostly liked the fact that each bad has its own kind of lightning, so you don't really on the main room lightning.
I had to give 500 mkd refundable deposit for the key, which is fair and understandable. Maybe it is listed when booking but I've missed the information. I just never carry cash, so it might be an inconvenience.
There are only 2 toilets for 10+ guests which might be enough, but it probably is the standard for these types of hostels and also shouldn't be considered something bad.

The location is great if traveling by bus or train. It's in easy walking distance (a couple of minutes) from the bus stop, which is nice after a long ride. This also made finding a taxi at any time very easy. Vero mall, which has a full grocery store and other small stores are nearby. Eastgate which is the largest mall in Skopje is also in walking distance. The on site staff person, Bobby, was a great guy who spoke fluent English, which made communication easy. There was table space for people using laptops or eating, which was useful.
The plumbing, like many places in Skopje, was subpar. I've stayed at a number of locations in the city at various times (I like Skopje a lot), and this is unfortunately a fairly common problem that I've encountered in quite a few locations.

Nice hostel within 5 minute walk to the bus station. I wasn't able to stay the entire night because I had to catch an overnight bus to my next destination.

The location near the bus and train station.
There's a manager! There now and the place has become less welcoming. I arrived early and wanted to leave my bag and use the toilet before going out shopping etc. The manager said OK for the bag and reluctantly let me use the toilet, then said abruptly come back at 2pm which is check-in time.
I went back at 2pm and another guest let me in. The manager appeared about 2.20 to do check-in.
Later I decided to have a shower but there was no hot water as it had been switched off and I had to wait a long time for the water to heat up.

The location is perfect, especially if you want to do day trips. Phillip, the manger/owner/maybe only staff maybe? is helpful with advice.
It’s not clean. They have a shoes off policy which I love, but like you see in the photo of underneath the bed, the floor isn’t regularly cleaned. I was there three nights and I didn’t see any cleaning of my room or the common area. The second major problem is the bathrooms. There are only two, and they are also the toilets. The floors in the bathroom are constantly wet, which is an issue when you want to go to the toilet after you’ve taken your shoes off, and it’s also difficult to find a place to put your clothes while you shower. I feel like this hostel maybe used to be better run, and current management has maybe gotten a bit lazy. It is cheap, but that’s not an excuse for not hiring a cleaner or at least spending an cleaning yourself (it’s only a small place and wouldn’t take that long if you did it daily).

Location is convenient for bus station. Most bunks have curtains & lockers. Up two floors of stairs.
Toilets don't flush the brown stuff at all, so they are always full of it. To many restrictive rules. No clothes washing allowed. Can't stay in common area or even use toilet after check-out. Kept promising & delaying the registration cards which are required from hostels/hotels for border crossing and we had to leave without them resulting in border police interrogation. In Macedonia, you are required to get a paper registration card from all legal hostels/hotels stamped by local police. Half the time you will be asked for this card when leaving at the border. Legal registered hostels & hotels tell you this and provide this card.

I’m very sorry to have to write this. It’s clear that this place was once made with love and care, but now it has turned into a garbage dump where it’s unpleasant to stay.
But the beds was ok.
We had a private room for two, and it was not cleaned before our arrival only the bedding was changed.
It was very hot, almost impossible to sleep, and the air conditioning could not cope possibly old and not functioning properly.
The kitchen, bathroom, and showers were very dirty and sticky, walls, shelves, and shower cabins all had accumulated grime, and there was a lot of old trash that should have been thrown away a long time ago. The trash bin was too small for the number of people living there, so garbage was left on the floor. The hostel had an unpleasant smell, and in the bathroom, there was 💩 floating around. Even the owner’s visit did not help. His cleaning seemed very superficial, probably limited to changing the bedding, because we noticed no difference when we returned except for the removed trash, but by evening there was again a pile around the bin.
The water heater was not turned on, so either we had to wait half an hour or shower in cold water. As tourists with plans, we could not wait, but this also negatively affected our experience. I never stay here again and will not recommend anyone. Hope you will change, it's a great location, you can have guests for years, if not you lost them all in few years.

I liked that there was curtains on the bunks and communal seating
Internet mishap, no worker there permanently, the hot water instructions, bathroom cleanliness, mattress scratchyness, lack of control of air conditioning, no numbered lock up top for entry (ridiculous seeming as nobody works at the property).

The bed was so comfortable... slept like a rock!
It is so close to the bus and gas stations..
could sleep later and check out later.
The cool host Philip washed my close at a cheap price and provided coffee for free!
I need coffee in the mornings!
Was a perfect stay for 2 nights and got to see the city about 10-15 minutes walking
I wish there were more private rooms... but it is what it is... the hostel is a small one, so I'm happy with that!
I didn't like that the host isn't always there, but he had a cool volunteer

Wow! the Bus Station is just five minutes or some short meters from the bus station. Staying at Valentin 2 was perfect because I didn'T have any worry about getting to the bus station. There is a (I think) 24 hrs gas station very close, with ciggies, drinks sandwiches and snacks. The big grocery store at VERO, is about 7 to 8 minutes stroll. This place is a perfect place with its bare essentials, proximity and price.
I didn't like that a few people have stolen Valentin's cutlery, towels and other little things.. leaving just the bare essentials for the rest of us. Nonetheless, it's a great place to rest up for a few days before moving on.

Location is 3min walk from bus station
POW stays on the toilet every single time because there is not enough pressure.
I told the owner that the hose was broken and dripping water out on the first day and after 3 days still broken :/
Not clean. They just make beds and do a mop on the kitchen.

The bathrooms were a bit gross

Comfy bedding and pillows, people were quiet at night. 20 min stroll into city centre and right next door to bus terminal so good location. Sleep was really really good here
The bathroom was horrible !! Each toilet stand of urine/ poo. The shower just felt disgusting because of the smell. Dreaded to use the bathrooms when we had to because it was horrid.

The host never arrived at the place, nor responded on my messages. Got lucky to get in and find a spare key so I could settle myself in. Toilets were absolutely disgusting.

The beds weren't comfortable at the facility
shaking common area tiny toilet and bathroom expenses don't work well while you're staying in the water while taking a shower is never a good place to rest and I think reviews are fake is not a facility as it is praised. employees and owner are very good but the conditions were very bad for me

Everything was perfekt 😊 The location of the hostel is really good and close to the centre. The hostel is like home, the people are amazing and I felt like I was at home with my family and I was only there for a few days. Cagatay is a great person, he cares about the guests and makes sjre everyone feels comfortable. I had a great time at the hostel and recommend everyone to stay here when they come to Skopje

Perfect if you're not overdemanding, It's a small hostel with an amazing host (Nicoleta), so it's easy to make friends as a solo traveler. Very close to the bus & train station and a 10-15 minute walk to the city center/old town.
Might look scary & run down from the outside but it's actually a very quiet area with nothing to worry about.

Nikoleta (the owner of hostel) is so nice. If you want, she informs you about the places where do you want to go, how you can go there, how much the prices (as far as she knows).
Nothing.

The hostess was extremely kind, and everyone who worked there were friendly and welcoming. The AC was effective and you slept really comfortably. The kitchen was very nice and you could even clean your clothes for a few euros. It was also located really close to the train station which made coming and going so easy! The best hostel experience of my life!

I love the hostel, the owner Nikoleta and the staff are amazing, they treat you like friends and made you feel home. In my short stay i enjoyed hanging out with them drinking coffee. The hostel is close by the bus station which made it very convenient to go to everywhere.

This place is a shelter for a small international gang of underclass individuals blocked in Macedonia as they try to cross to Schengen area. They have business under the local manager of the hostel. I suspect too links with corrupted local administration. Good luck!

Very nice owner with all the tips about Skopje and Macedonia in general. Kitchen for use, common room/dinning space to hang out.

Great communication prior to stay from the host about arrival time.
I was even met from the bus station to make sure I find my way to the hostel! So nice.
As the hostel was quiet I was given a private room.
Can't speak highly enough of the lady owner, she went above and beyond to make sure I was welcome and comfortable.
She have me all the info about the area, what to see and do etc.
I just stayed for 1 night but I would recommend, it's a great place to stay.
The location was just around the corner from the buses and easy access to the city centre.
Everything was great, I have no complaints .
