Duomo Confort Suite

the apartment is a short 15 minute walk from the train station, a lot of being through pedestrian zones. The location is exceptional as it is only a one minute from the Duomo, down a side street. There are no bars on this side street, so even though the location is super prime, it is very quiet at night for sleeping. The bedroom is very spacious as well as the bathroom. There was a lot of storage in the bedroom. Having a washing machine and a drying rack was a bonus. Everything you want to see and do in Florence is a very short walk, enabling us to go back to our room during the sightseeing days if required.

There a few very minor things. The lighting in the kitchen is very poor, we had to bring a floor lamp up from the bedroom, which was on the floor below, and it still was not enough, as the kitchen fan light did not work. The couch, if you could call it that, was very uncomfortable and had many stains. The very small spiral staircase to get to the bedrooms did not allow enough room for a suitcase, so we left them on the upper floor. We travel with travel cubes for our clothes so not really a big issue. The kitchen was lacking some basic things like a corkscrew, bowls, cutting board, no cleaning supplies or dishwashing detergent. The kitchen chairs need to be updated.

Incredible place!

La ubicación es excelente. Desde la ventana ves el Duomo

Awesome location, right next to the duomo. Interesting set up with kitchen above and bedroom reached via a winding staircase downstairs.

Some simple issues that could be fixed: the bed was not comfortable, the apartment complex needs a fresh coat of paint, the bathroom desperately needs hooks for towels, the plug for the washing machine deserves a permanent fix rather than electrical tape, the AC was super noisy and should be serviced/replaced … One more difficult issue is that with the set up (with the room downstairs and a big open duplex on top with the kitchen reached by a winding staircase) that the hot air rises and it is almost impossible to heat the bedroom downstairs …
