What you'd expect for the price.

It was what expected for the price. Kettle in the room.Comfortable & enough space. Handy location for the station & wetherspoons.! Staff helpful & friendly. Allowed us to leave bags in reception before check in. Plenty of hot water for bath/shower

Cheap, easy to get to, friendly staff, needs a bit of an update.

You get what you pay for, cheap as chips for a mediocre room, that is reflected in the quality of the room. Very outdated and rough looking furniture, and the shower head didn't sit correctly in the holder. A bit on the cold side for my liking, even with radiator turned on full. However, it was quiet, and the location is handy as it's right near the station. The staff were really friendly too. This place just needs a good update and a bit of love and that would make it great!

Fix the shower head. Get some rugs/carpet, the wood floor was really cold. Turn up the heating. Fluffier pillows.

Never again

The door in the room worked

Bed . Shocking , a solid 18 mm mdf sheet with a solid thin mattress on top , bed creaked ever time you moved slightly . I got no sleep that night , but I was only there for the one night . So I thought my nightmare was over only for the hotel to ring me the following night at midnight ,waking me up even when I was home . Shocking

Outdated and certainly not worth £150 for 2 nights, however staff were kind and very accommodating!

The staff were great very responsive and resolved my issue immediately, as my room was over a rock bar. I could hear the music, however not only did they asked the bar to turn the music down in the evening but they moved me to a quieter room the next day too. The hotel itself is quite outdated, and I would not say it’s worth £150 for 2 nights. Absolutely cannot for the life of me justify that shocking price. It has the facilities but there is not an ounce of luxury. I was there for a work conference so I can imagine the prices were really amped up, but nothing within the hotel justifies that, even the kind friendly staff.

Overall VERY outdated. Old bedside tables. Rusty metal handles in the bathroom. Old paint job, cracks and marks all over the woordwork, on the bathroom door. Mattress wasn’t the most comfortable either. No toiletries, only handsoap in the bathroom. Toilet flushing system was so poor I was battling with flushing 6-7 times at least. Stained duvet, although the sheets and pillow cases were clean. Ultimately, again, NOT worth £150 for 2 nights.

Disappointed and disgusted

Last minute booking accepted

The staff were rude and really unhelpful. As it was a last minute booking none of us had ID, but all the booking details were on phone along with proof of payment, pin confirmation etc but the receptionist refused to give our paid for room and then another person got involved and was rude and to sum it all up, the receptionist said I was lucky to be with my black partner and he want saying the things he would like to say to me!! I was disgusted and so were the couple who were waiting to book in behind us too.

The staff almost refused my stay due to my ID being refused, I was travelling with my teenage daughter who was distraught.

No frills but friendly hotel

Great location, easy walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and marina. The staff at reception are extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed two nights in two different rooms. The second room was spacious and clean.

The first room we stayed in needed freshening up. The second room was roasting! We had the AC on and the fan and we still couldn’t sleep with the heat!

The whole experience of no running water, rusty shower handrail and all round general "tiredness" of the room overall. The price was extortionate in return for such displeasure. I would not return, nor recommend.

A real life nightmare

Deposit took 2 weeks ot get back. When people was leavin/going back to there rooms the floors creaked so loud i couldnt sleep. I felt very insecure in my stay there. The rooms was disgusting. The view was horrendous from my room. The room was £75 for one eveining. I wouod rather get a sleeping bag and sleep an sleep.on a bench than pay £75 to stay there. To think its in the town centre as well

Happy with most things.

There were a couple of little issues with my room i.e. repairs that need to be done. I reported these because, in my experience, people don't so unless you go around checking every little thing, you're not going to be aware. However one of the issues was that the bathroom fan wasn't working and I suggest that the cleaners ought to be observing and reporting things like that.

The room was noisy hearing sirens and noise from the room above. Asked to change to quieter room and was told the sirens were not that near to me. Had to sleep with windows open to noisy sirens as the heating was too hot. Couldn't turn down or off. No toiletries, only dispenser. Definitely avoid as had to check out after one night. Not interested once they had taken money so no refund.
