We’ve stayed here before so knew what to expect. Good size rooms, clean and comfortable, excellent night sleep on a comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great food in the bar! We will always try to book our favourite room when visiting the area

Great location for our concert and easy free parking. Friendly staff and reasonable food as we were in bit of a rush to get to venue

Our room (cappuccino) was very warm and difficult to control the heating via the radiators, opening the bedroom window meant noise from the nearby main road early morning. Toilet was very “snug” to the wall, toilet paper holder was hanging off wall and shower was only lukewarm.

Exceptionally spacious and comfortable single room: very good value for money. Nicely situated on the edge of the marina.

Not the pub's fault, but the ongoing road works make it impossible to access the pub on foot from the ciry centre and station without a very long detour

Welcoming, comfortable stay

Very warm welcome. Spotlessly clean, fabulous breakfast and having a drink in the bar at the end of the night with the pub furry baby, Tia, topped the evening off!

Nothing at all. There was absolutely nothing to be negative about. Parking was even included. Everyone we met including the locals that drink in the pub were so welcoming.

A characterful pub with great rooms. Superb facilities, immaculate throughout. Fantastic location for the marina nightlife and the Connexin Live. Why go for bland accommodation in the super chain hotels when you can stay here with good people who are happy and to share a night cap with you for that personal touch. Don’t miss out on this great accommodation with convenience of evening meal and breakfast should you choose to dine and breakfast there to.

The whole building. We had the big top floor suite. Very comfy and well appointed.

Noise from building work going on outside was only downside; but when the outside is finished, the location will seem even better.

Nice clean room with a comfy bed, modern bathroom, decent TV and good facilities. The pub is nice too and was not too loud to disturb you. Had a lovely warm welcome and all the staff very nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

Worth the money, lovely stay will definitely come back

It’s lovely and cosy Very central to town I feel happier I have helped a family run pub, as there is not enough of these venues managing to keep open and running due to big chain hotels.

Unfortunately lots of building and road maintenance being completed right in front of accommodation. However I am sure once this is completed it will look lovely and improve the view of marina.

Great little find. Really lovely traditional pub with super comfy rooms. We also had some food which was excellent and really good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything spotlessly clean and easy parking right behind the pub.

Dave at the bar was super helpful and welcoming despite being very busy. TNT Sports was available for us to watch the rugby. Substantial good value grub provided.

Lovely traditional pub. The room we used was the black and white room on the second floor. Extremely clean and felt like it has just been decorated. Lovely shower. Comfy bed, very nice facilities. Would happily use again. Extremely handy for visiting the conexxions venue.

Fantastic location, separate entrance to main pub (ie you don’t have to come in through bar). Pub is great, lovely breakfast (which they’ve just started doing) free central parking in floodlit retail car park next door. Lovely clean comfortable room. Great shower. Host was lovely.

Room exceeded all expectations. Beautifully appointed. Location good too - easy to access

No option for food on Saturday evening - our event meant we did not arrive until after 6pm. Fortunately, we walked around the area and found another option
