About this apartment rental
Vacation in a beautiful, spacious, and romantic thatched-roof cottage, just 1.5 km from the beach with cliffs—where no visitor’s tax is charged.
Schashagen (Bliesdorf) is located between the “Europastadt” Neustadt/Holstein and the Baltic Sea resort of Grömitz.
Relaxation, hiking, biking, sports, and fun with plenty of recreational opportunities.
Our 48-square-meter, pet-free, non-smoking apartment has been completely renovated and is designed for 2 adults and 1 child up to 4 years old (please bring your own travel crib).
Wi-Fi has been available since summer 2023.
The quiet village of Bliesdorf (in the municipality of Schashagen) has 550 residents.
With its typical village charm (yes, there’s still active farming and livestock grazing on pastures here), Bliesdorf itself offers relaxation and recreation while walking, biking, and, of course, at the beach. In the mornings and evenings, the occasional angler casts a line here. A playground, like everything else in the village, is within walking distance.
Two major village events take place in July.
In early July, the Volunteer Fire Department’s summer festival (shooting and bowling for everyone, children’s games and a kids’ disco, coffee and homemade cakes and pastries, ice cream and grilled specialties, as well as music and dancing late into the night)
At the end of July, the Bliesdorf Residents’ Association Beach Festival draws crowds to the large parking lot by the beach with waffles and ice cream, grilled specialties, chilled drinks, draft beer, and music and dancing.
Both events are organized by volunteers with a lot of heart.
On the last Friday in August, the annual major event “Ostsee in Flammen” takes place.
This extraordinary event offers locals and visitors an unforgettable experience with a combination of color, music, and fireworks.
