Had a lovely weekend. House was amazing. Staff were so easy to deal with and overall a perfect weekend away.

Definitely a little haven

The inside of the Beach Club was great and the location of the house was exceptional, right on the beach. There is a squatter camp nearby but the security guards do regular patrols around the club and along the beach front to ensure there is no problem. We did not feel unsafe at any stage during our stay. The house facilities were great, dishwasher, washing machine and well equipped kitchen. The little pool was a bonus and we did use it during our stay at the weather was great while we were there. A short drive into town to get to all the markets and shops.

Best surprise ever

We travelled from the UK to Cape Town for a family wedding in Caledon. We only had a week, there was much to do and our time was precious. When we arrived in Caledon the day before the wedding, the accommodation we pre booked fell far short of the mark. After a horrendous night there, at the last minute we found this heavenly place on booking.com. Hours before the wedding we packed up and headed to Hermanus. Although we didn't realise it, we weren't supposed to check in until hours later. We sent urgent messages to Ian and his lovely partner, who responded immediately. The owners did all they could to accommodate us, going out of their way to ensure we were safely checked in and had time to dress up and get to the wedding on time. Our two days here were nothing short of heavenly. We are constantly dreaming of coming back .... When I was writing the review, my husband said: 'just tell them I would go back right now if I could.' 💕

That I didn't know about this place before, and only had two nights here and not a week.

Wonderful

The house is really amaizing and has all the appliances, cutlery and cleaning acessories. The view is exceptional and the hosts are really communicative and friendly. We enjoyed this house

Beautiful ocean view!

The house is just like pictures, right on the beach with spectacular views of the sunrise and sunset. We were able to see whales whilst sitting inside the house. The house itself is very comfortable and neat and the owners gave clear instructions on how to access the property.

At the entrance to the Hermanus Beach Club there is an informal settlement which does leave a feeling of uneasiness when coming and going.

It was tired. The gate to let us into the compound was not working. The inverter was not working. It was poorly equipped. We left after one night as we were not happy with it.

Exceptional

We spent unforgettable days in this place. The villa is wonderful, spacious, with panoramic ocean view - it is breathtaking! There is absolutely everything you need in the villa (to continue on top of this). Wonderful owners! who will surround you with care literally starting from your way to the villa and will be always in touch, ready to help with all your requests. Near the villa there is a spacious parking space under the canopy. The place itself is very safe and quiet!

Perfect holiday house by the sea

The attention to detail by the owners made our stay very comfortable, like a home away from home. I loved the underfloor heating and never had to worry about the cold weather outside. The view cannot be beat! Perfect destination no matter the season.

Location good, place should receive a lot more maintenance for the price.

The location is brilliant - right on the beach, You can just sit in the lounge and look out through the large picture windows onto the ocean; endless entertainment ! Really peaceful and relaxing. The living area is very large and spacious, with a nice dining room and lounge area.

Only one room is worth it - the front room with a view over the ocean. The middle room is basically a passage with a couple of beds stuck into it - and they are very small beds, too short for an average sized adult. One of our party really struggled with the size of the bed and the diminutive size of the children's bedding. The path to the back bedroom is through the "middle" bedroom, else you have to go via the courtyard to access it. This is not acceptable, and was not well described. The middle bedroom and back bedroom also have a bathroom between them, with sliding doors that don't close properly - so there's inadequate privacy, with noises and smells from the bathroom filtering into the middle room. They should have proper doors. The kitchen design is inconvenient, if people are sitting at the central table, not easy to squeeze past them to get to the fridge or sink. The shower in the middle bathroom leaks really badly. The owners describe this in detail, but what's the point of telling your guests about that, instead of just fixing it ? Half the bathroom floor was flooded. The shower in the main bedroom also leaks; the shower to the left works beautifully, the fancy one with multiple jets on the right needs cleaning of the nozzles. There are also 2 downlighters in the main bedroom that don't work, the downlights in the extractor unit in the kitchen don't work, and some of the hanging lights in the kitchen don't work. Also no soap/shampoo in the showers, just a bottle at the sink. The cleaning leaves a bit to be desired - we found two mouldering cupcakes in the drawers in the back bedroom.

Accommodation was very clean and exceptionally well equipped and maintained. Amazing views and proximity to the ocean unparalleled. Soothing waking up to the sound of the ocean each morning.

Brathtaking views and wonderful sound of waves

An amazing and spacious beach house with luxurious equipment. The pool is in the backyard and wind protected. Very private and secluded. The setting of the living room to the beach is spectacular. Great sunbed chairs invite to relax and enjoy the waves. Even on windy days you can sit inside and with the open front windows feels like sitting outside. The owners are very responsive in case of questions. A great stay. We highly recommend this house if you like privacy, calm and to be at the sea. Two tennis courts are around the corner. We loved playing and availability was given any time. at no extra cost. Excellent point of departure for excursions to the close winearea.
