Bonobo's peaceful & chilled vibe, its cute style and comfort made it reach the top of my list! Alicia the owner is just the best host - always friendly and on the lookout to help guests always feel at ease. If you're looking for a relaxed, calm and stylish getaway, slightly further away from the busyness of Zicatela and Centro, you'll be just right at Bonobo!

Great place, accommodating to requests and excellent staff

The place was nice, super clean and breezy(needed with the Puerto heat). Even though there was some construction nearby, the room was completely quiet(!). The staff(Myrna and Diego)were friendly and super helpful guiding us through what we needed and went out of their way to accommodate our requests

Super welcoming, comfy, tranquil hotel / hostel - I can't recommend it enough!

I took my parents and sister to Puerto Escondido for the first time and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay than Villa Bonobo. Myrna and Alicia made us feel completely at home; it was a perfect mixture of relaxing but vibey; rooms were super comfy and the breakfasts each morning were excellent. I'm already looking forward to going back!

Beautiful little hotel with a very nice pool and a great rooftop terrace with a view of the ocean. Great place to relax and unwind. Our room was spacious and clean and we loved the hammock outside. The staff is amazing - very friendly, attentive and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and varied. It's also a great place to meet people as they offer joint activities (e. g. beachvolleyball, bbq, taco night) every day. We had a wonderful stay and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended! :)

The 15-minute walk from the main street / the ocean gets pretty dark at night - however, we felt safe the whole time.

The nicest stay at Puerto

Even before arriving I got the nicest welcome whatsapp messages and instructions on how to get there easily by Fran... then the check in was super easy and the two best hostesses Fran and Sorrell made me feel at home right away. The place is beautiful, the sights from the terrace are amazing, the pool is perfect... they made sure we all felt like a little family, would give you any recommendation, invite you to participate in the hostel events, we went out partying after the famous Wednesday BBQ at the terrace... they saved my breakfast everytime I came after breakfast serving time from yoga class. My stay in Puerto hadn't been the same if it weren't for Bonobos. Thank you Fran and Sorrell from the bottom of my heart <3

The staff are great and super sweet. Everything is ready for the guest to have a good start for staying in Bonobo. They have a really good whatsapp catalog for questions and recommendations.

Pleasantly surprised by this very last minute booking

Booked a nights stay on a whim and I was pleasantly surprised. Actually wished I stayed a bit longer, booking included breakfast. I haven’t been getting on well with the food in Mexico and everything I ate at villa bonobo was amazing. Staff are lovely especially Sorrel she goes above and beyond and really understands what exceptional customer service is! Well done team keep it up! I really lucked out with this booking!

Lovely and small place to relax

We loved this place! We were looking for something in a quiet area with a pool and good wifi. The staff is really friendly, the room was perfect, and we enjoyed interacting with the other guests. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a quiet area.

My only recommendation for the Villa Bonobo is to buy new towels for the guests.

Lovely and friendly staff. Great little oasis with good pool, roof top patio/bar and fun short and long term visitors. Master suite was very comfortable and had great usable veranda. Bit of a hike down to La Punta proper, but easy taxi. Would stay again!

Such a calm and beautiful villa. So nice to just relax by the pool. We stayed in the shared four person dorm and this is the most hotel-like hostel I have stayed in. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming - they made our experience an incredible one. It is a short walk into the busy town so it felt nice being slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of La Punta. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with the opportunity to meet other travellers! Thank you again Villa Bonobo, we will be back!

The concept works: everyone is open, shares their plans and would like to do things together, all I met were nice people. The team prepared a great concept around communication with a WhatsApp group and a catalogue of recommendations (taxi, food, parties, good beaches, etc) and if that would not be enough, the team has a weekly BBQ on the rooftop with Happy Hour, which was amazing to attend. The area we were in was nice, 15 minutes walk to the first beach and nice clubs and bars. We’re so thankful for this experience and can confirm that the Bonobo Villa shall be visited again in the future!

The staff made us feel so comfortable & safe!! We did not realize we reserved a hostal!! But after a few minutes we felt we made a great choice!! Our host kepted us informed daily! My husband & I made some great memories!! & friends!!

The perfect place to stay in Puerto!

Everything. The rooms, the pool, the bar, the views, and most importantly the people… everything at Villa Bonobo was incredible. The rooms are very comfortable with air conditioning. The pool area is clean, great for lounging and meeting other travelers. Alicia and her staff are so friendly and make you feel like part of the family. Can’t recommend Villa Bonobo enough!

-Stuff were amazing, very friendly and helpful -the room was really nice, the balcony huge -they allowed us late check-in and early check-out and they made it super easy and convenient for us -they had a taxi service that they could call for you & a food delivery service for a selection of restaurants -very friendly/hostel vibe with the other residents of the Villa

-the day we arrived our sheets had multiple stains which they changed the day after when I let them now. -we rented a scooter from the agency that is also cleaning the Villa, which makes it convenient for the residents, but at 9pm we found out the front light was never working. thankfully we were not outside, stranded somewhere but still ruined our last night plans since we couldn’t leave the Villa (they did offer a refund to us but time was more valuable than money at that point) -as mentioned on booking there are 1-2 dogs in the Villa sometimes which are super lovely and we had so much fun w them but they did poop around the pool and nobody saw/cleaned them for the whole day. -location is pretty terrible. it’s 15min walk through a not nice street to a beach but there are so much better spots closer to the city -Lastly, there is construction across the Villa which woke me up early on Friday ( thankfully they don’t work in the weekend) but they do during working days
