Lovely stay.

Location was lovely and barn was spotlessly clean, Kids enjoyed board games provided.

Comfortable,well equipped cottage, with lovely views over the dales. Close to local attractions, including the excellent Carsington Water.

Our disabled guest was unable to access the patio area, without a lot of help. I think this should be mentioned in the property description.

the comfy seat and sofa have seen better days and needed the cushions from the beds to stop you feeling as if you were sitting on the floor .

Perfect staycation

The cottage was perfect, heated floors made it. It had a log burner which we used even though it wasn’t freezing. Just because we love a real fire. The setting is idyllic and the owner was lovely and helpful. Could not fault it. My 2 year old had the best time.

It was a lovely property, with very good facilities.in a fabulous location. The instructions prior to arrival were very good.

The WiFi was really poor on the last 2 days and there were no instructions for the cooker which was very slow to heat up.

Barn Owl cottage makes you happy from the moment you arrive 🌞

The location was beautiful, overlooking a valley with fabulous sunsets. The accommodation was one of the best self catering cottages we have stayed in, the interior was all finished to a very high standard, all appliances & furnishings a very high spec, everything you needed. I literally cannot wait to go back, just a few minutes walk to beautiful nature reserve at Carsington Waters, Ashbourne nearby & days out to Buxton, Bakewell & spoilt for choice with glorious Peak District villages. Just adored every moment, thank you.
