Disappointed on arrival but saying that it was a nice place to stay in the end.

Nice location and close to shops

When we arrived nothing had been cleaned and beds weren’t made and all the house was very untidy, bags of bedding on dining room table waiting for the house keeper to clean and make beds. Had to call the number I had on paperwork that I had the forethought to bring with me. Our American friend were with us for a holiday and they were really looking forward to their visit to Scotland so it was quite embarrassing to say the least. Accommodation is listed as two bathrooms but there was only one full bathroom as one was a sink & toilet which is not what was expected for 4 adults. We needed shopping so went out while the ladies cleaned the property, they did a good job fortunately, they also left an extra bottle of wine to compensate😳. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom could do with a bigger shower screen as very often water was running down the bath panel onto the floor and rubber seal could do with replacing as very black and grubby. Cooker is very antiquated and could do with updating, not seen one that old in many years.

Delightful family accommodation

This comfortable bungalow is fully equipped to meet all your needs, including pet bowls. It is in a lovely, quiet cul-de-sac, just a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk to the town centre. The complimentary bottle of wine and shortbread on arrival were a delightful touch. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again in the future.

Spacious and comfortable. Nice for a longer stay. Conveniently close to Coop and the Cairngorm Brewery.

Oven only works on grill setting (bottom element faulty). Extractor fan in bathroom excessively noisy.

Lovely, comfortable and attractively decorated cottage. Wine and shortbread on arrival were a lovely welcome. Board games were great fun for an evening. Good location. Would definitely return.

Property was cosy and very clean. Useful stock items in the kitchen, salt pepper vinegar herbs etc, plus kitchen roll and washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. Fridge also had a small freezer compartment useful for replenishing ice packs for cool box. Nice of them to leave a bottle of wine and some shortbread. Parking in the drive for our two cars.

As we had a baby with us a high chair and cot would have been useful, but property clearly states cots are not available. We brought our own travel cot and travel high chair.

Everything!! The cottage was spotless. It had everything we could possibly need. Absolutely brilliant for a family group . Very dog friendly, with a fully enclosed garden. About 15 minutes walk into town along a beautiful path next to The Spey .

Cooker - the rings take a while to heat up, then they are really hot & takes a minute to cook down - pasta is temperamental at the best of times…

We had a great week in Aviemore, and this was a great place to stay!

Quiet location. Nice enclosed garden, great for dogs. Nice and warm. Well equipped kitchen. Handy for local paths and cycling routes, not too far from the centre of Aviemore (20-25 minutes walk). Lots of local info provided. Wifi and streaming TV was good.

Bed was a little firm for my tastes.

The photos don't do the cottage justice. It's compact, but our group of 5 (adults, teens & a dog) never felt cramped. Bedrooms were all good sizes with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. All rooms have their own heater and warmed up quickly. Beds were really comfy and plenty of blankets, towels were provided. The location was perfect - close enough to walk into the town centre, but far enough for a peaceful stay. Close to woodland which was handy for taking the dog out. The water tank provided plenty of immediate hot water, and the water pressure was very good. Loved it! Highly recommend the Old Bridge Inn for food.

Weekend break

We had a super family weekend break here with the dog. The enclosed back garden is ideal. Slept well and the location and layout of the house are great.

There was no dishwasher which I do like to have on holiday - but this did not affect our stay.

Comfy rooms and well equipped kitchen. plenty of mugs! Good garden area with seating.

Strange room configuration as you have to go out of the house and walk round to the garden. The bins hadn't been put out for collection, not sure if the guests were expected to do that.
