The Steadings Aviemore Premium Highland Apartment Near Cairngorms & Town Centre

Lovely spacious and comfortable apartment in a quiet area. Apartment was very well appointed, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Around 20 mins walk to the main shopping area ( with a Tesco) and under 10 mins walk to the local coop. We loved the ice-cream shop and the Old Fashioned Sweet Shop in Aviemore. We hired a car from Enterprise in Inverness after a couple of days as the buses seemed rather few and far between and taxis were proving expensive and not always available. There was a large wildfire in the Glenmore area so we had to change some of our planned activities, but there was still plenty to do. The apartment is well situated for exploring the surrounding area by car and the scenery is absolutely beautiful ; fabulous walking trails with stunning lochs, pine forests, ancient ruins, Highland cattle,red squirrels... We also enjoyed visiting the picturesque village of Carrbridge and the Ruthven ruins. We are particularly interested in wildlife and spent a fabulous evening in the Speyside badger hide. The wildlife and birding was superb in the surrounding areas, with many first sightings including Mountain Hares, Slavonian Grebes and Golden Eagles to name but a few.

Although the keys were stored in a lock box, Heather met us at the property and showed us around the apartment, which was a nice surprise. The apartment contained everything we required for our trip. Barry & Heather have thought of everything, and the property is a credit to them both. The main kitchen/living area is great, and the kitchen is probably the best-equipped kitchen of any self-catering property we have stayed in. Both our sons like to cook, and they were especially delighted by all the spices and that the kitchen contained everything you would need to cook a meal. The views of the Cairngorm mountains from the property are stunning and change throughout the day. The extra touches, like the DVDs and the board games, are great, and we all enjoyed them. The information pack was also very helpful and contained lots of useful information on both the property and the area. There is ample parking, and the apartment is a short walk from Aviemore town centre. We all enjoyed our stay, and we left relaxed and recharged. We will definitely be back to stay soon!

It is well furnished and bright. The space and the facilities are excellent. Everything you could need and more is provided. Loved the location and the quiet surroundings. Will definitely be back.
