Blairbeg Cottage

The location was stunning, we saw deer and red squirrels out of the window and it was wonderfully peaceful

The sofa bed was slightly hard but we slept on top of the duvet as it was warm and cosy so it was fine

The location and the warm welcome. The kitchen was well equipped and a log burner if required.

No mirror in the toilet but all in all a fantastic stay.

Location was lovely kitchen was very spacious and easy to cook in Lovely big garden Good facilities for wood etc been to places before were we’ve spent loads on wood and charcoals as didn’t provide Liked the security of the doors as we could lock the wooden ones outside as the inside door lock was a little bit loose Loved the packet of cards we found in the drawer 😂 spent hours playing card games Having a washing machine was a life saver after walking munros and being able to wash out kit

Dusting and cobwebs Was okay during the day but lighting in the bedroom was fairly dull Mouldy shower curtain Just a heads up didn’t bother us but the kitchen tap leeks When you sit on the couch you could feel like springs and bits of wood poking you

Cottage was lovely and cozy. The location was beautiful. Had everything we needed. We enjoyed seeing the pheasants and some unusual birds. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept like logs. Lots of nice walks in the surrounding area.

Only downside was our adventurous cocker spaniel was able to get out of the garden via the stream and the wall area. It wasn't a huge issue though, as we just ended up giving him a long rope so he could still run around and enjoy the garden with the smell of the birds!
