Cruachan Caravan and Camping Farm

The location between the loch and the mountains was grand. The site was open: plenty of space. The camping pod (our first experience of one) was cozy and provided a surprisingly large space.

The toilet and shower block had problems for the first couple of days. Until that was fixed, the floor in the gents was wet.

Homely

The Cruachan cafe (open thurs-mon) breakfast rolls and full breakfast very good to set you up for a day of adventuring. A short walk to the neighbouring campsite and The Boathouse.. Steak and ale pie was delicious

The site was lovely and relaxing. Although lots of people was very quiet grounds. Great to be able to walk easy to sister site and down by the water.

When we booked the octo pod it stated it was a double bed. I also checked this when I called reception and they confirmed. When we arrived it was two single beds and we had taken double bedding. Thankfully the double sleeping bag operates in to two, but if we thought the double duvet which we were planning on bringing then we would have struggled and had to likely buy a single sleeping bag somewhere. Single beds not very long for tall people. Also bathroom facilities very old. Shower curtains pretty dirty.
