A blatant rip off

It was relatively quiet.The bed was comfortable.

It is a small "box"about 3 x4 metres to sleep in. The front verandah was rotting in one area. There were no towels or soap, pnly two satchets for coffee and no tea bags or milk. There was no sink or running water in the room, just a bottle of water. There was no crockery or cutlery. The "garden views" don't exist. It's just rough uneven stone and gravel and pieces of concrete to step on.as you go across to the shared bathroom which is located in the nearby house. It seems that the adjacent house is shared by students who also share the bathroom, which also is the laundry and toilet. There is no office, and l had to ask the students for assistance to get just the basics...eg a towel, bowl and a spoon . DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY! It's an "online only" booking, and l fell into its trap! The price was $75, and even that was too high.

No deposit for the key should be asked for. To top it off, I didn't get it back. Instead a lame excuse.

The room was fine. Could get some new carpet that isn't stained but otherwise it was all that I need

The Cabin was fine but it was raining and it would be a good idea to have some spouting on the roof over the door and the step was a bit slippery.

That you had to cross the yard to have a shower or go to the toilet but the bathroom was very clean and the shower was good.

Superb

The unit was warm and comfortable. The Owner was extremely helpful and welcoming especially when I drove into the wrong driveway. Kettle, tea, milk and coffee were all set up in my unit when I got there. There were some extra space for storage in the wardrobe. Heater was provided as well as a small fridge.

It is best to get to the facility when it still daylight. I got there at night and it was not easy to see the address number of the property from the road.

Misleading advertising and reviews

Misleading advertising meant that the expected rooms were nothing more than 2 poor demountable buildings in run down condition. When shown the alternative rooms inside there was a distinct smell of unwashed areas.

The location was the only good thing about this place.

Is a backpackers. But advertised as a motel. “Soundproofing” is a joke. Just a very expensive room and a bed in an old dated house. Soap provided is large containers no idea what is actually in it. Kitchen has 2 plates, 2 knives, No milk provided Everything is done as cheap as absolutely could be.

Unusual but comfortable.

This accommodation is a converted house, with two very small cabins out the back. The cabins have access to a very nice large, new bathroom and kitchen , but these are in the house, so you need to go outside to use them. We upgraded to one of the rooms inside the house, which was much better for us, with a second bathroom next to our bedroom and the kitchen just there. This accommodation was not what I expected, but ended up very good and comfortable. It is run by the owner, who was on site and able to help us upgrade. Tea, good quality coffee, (Maccona), powdered milk were supplied. There was body wash and shampoo in the shower. Clean towels and face washers. Water pressure was great with ample hot water. The internet was strong. Parking was on the property, but it was a funny little residential area and once again, not what I expected. The property was down a lane and had a long driveway between other properties. There was a feijoa tree there, so we were able to eat the fruit for breakfast. Shoes off in the house, which was a good idea. They provide new black thongs/flip flops to use inside. We were the only 2 people in the house at the time so we had the kitchen and inside bathroom to ourselves, which was great, but there are five inside bedrooms, all with room to sleep at least two people. If full , there would be 11 in the house with a possible 4 more in the two cabins. The kitchen only had space to seat 4 people, so I'm not sure how this would go in peak season. Also, we had no trouble parking, but in peak season, I don't know where you would park your car, as the property has space for about 5 cars. But, we loved our stay, we enjoyed chatting to the owner, and would recommend this property.

There was no TV and no comfortable space to sit. There were the 4 kitchen chairs in the kitchen and each bedroom had 2 upright chairs, which we used to put our belonging.

There is a kitchen but there were no Pans or Pots to cook with the staff was nice to us but didn't seem to nice to others. You just didn't feel completely welcome.

Would recomand the place if you need to sleep a couple of night in a clean room in hamilton

Nice little room for the night , quiet, clean and safe place. Near the city center. Clean shared bathroom. Beds are ok if you'r tired but could be more confortable. Owner friendly and easy to join by phone or texting.

Price could be a bit lower for the confort standard and the fact that the bathroom is shared. Can be a bit cold at night even if they provide extra blanket ( march/april) not much big problems
