We booked on the 16 th of Feb , paid in full , then left on the 16 th , there was mayor building going on next door , for us this was unacceptable we should have been informed? We also didn’t receive the room we booked back in May , we were bundled into the ground floor room next to the pool , the room was not up to the rating of 9.4 that is not right , We caught a taxi and found another hotel near bye with no building works in progress, We haven’t received a refund , we had booked for 5 nights and didn’t want to spoil our Bali holiday, The staff and owners are great , and to be fair they did offer us a different accommodation, which we declined.

Exceptional stay – absolute gem in Canggu!

My stay at Guru Canggu was nothing short of perfect. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and incredibly kind. Their hospitality truly made the experience unforgettable. The room itself was gorgeous, beautifully designed, spotless, and so comfortable. It felt like a peaceful little sanctuary, and every detail was clearly well thought out. I loved coming back to the room each day, it was that good. The overall vibe of the hotel is calm, stylish, and relaxing, while still being perfectly located to enjoy everything Canggu has to offer. Honestly, I don’t have a single negative thing to say which is rare. Guru Canggu exceeded all expectations, and I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Bali. Thank you to the amazing team for such a wonderful experience! 😊✨

A perfect hotel for first stop in Bali!

Just the most beautiful little hotel away from the craziness of Canggu - felt like an oasis. It was so quiet, we slept sooo well. The staff were so welcoming and kind. The room was so beautiful. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

There was some construction going on in the field next to our bedroom window but not the hotels fault!

Everything was great, and I would happily stay here again. Solid 9 out of 10.

Overall, my stay was excellent. The team at the front desk and around the property were genuinely friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. The room I booked was bigger than I expected, clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay.

The only small minus was that a tiny insects showed up in my room, likely coming in from the shower area. It wasn’t a big issue and didn’t spoil the experience, but it’s worth a quick fix.

Simple but a nice stay

A simple boutique hotel, in a great location if you’re looking to head to Atlas or Finn’s with some great restaurants and cafes nearby. The room was simple but nice, great bed and bathroom. Bathtub was a nice touch.

Some little things would go a long way to making the room feel a little more comfortable - the towels were old and rough, there were no mosquito plugs and the bathroom had a window without screens so meant the mosquitos could get in.

We had only one night staying with guru, definitely will come back. Very welcoming and nice staff, make you feel like at home. The room is well set and comfortable , shower water is big. Location is near the beach, nice restaurants and bars. But the room is very quiet. Nice hotel and nice price and nice everything.

The bed sheet is a bit wet, could open the air conditioner before clients check in.

Best place to stay - loved everything about it!

We loved our stay at the Guru Canggu! Especially due to the most wonderful staff, they were so so welcoming and helped us with any requests we had! They made our stay very enjoyable and fun. We would stay here again if we come back. It was a great vibe and great location. Don't hesitate to book this place!! :)

Great value for money

Excellent value for money. Staff were really helpful - they facilitated late check in for us and provided us with a welcome drink. Our room was spacious and clean. The location is great - you can walk straight down the road to the beach. Also close to lots of cafes and restaurants. You can use the pool 24/7 which is fun. It's a very small hotel with only a few rooms, so it's always nice and chilled. It's also off the main street so super quiet, which is great as Canggu can be a bit hectic!

They organised a driver to bring us to our next destination. This driver brought us to a coffee plantation without being asked to. Locals advised us afterwards that this was a bit of a scam for tourists. It's possible this shouldn't be a direct reflection on the hotel however!

Wonderful Experience at Guru Canggu! From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I was even greeted with a refreshing welcome drink. My room came with a complimentary welcome massage, which was such a relaxing touch. The location is perfect—close to everything I wanted to explore. It truly was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend!

I loved everything! The staff were incredible, especially Pande and Yogi. The room was so pretty and comfortable and well appointed. The pool was great. It felt like a home away from home.

Very nice and accommodating stay, amazing staff

The property was in a very convenient location 5 min from the beach and close to everything that we wanted to go to. There were tons of shops and cafes around. The property itself was a very cute and beachy vibe. The room was very clean and spacious and the hotel provided us with everything that we needed. The staff was exceptional and greeted us everytime with such happy smiles and they went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. Upon arrival, they immediately took our bags for us and gave us welcome drinks. They also helped us with any questions we had. When we were checking out, we accidentally walked in while they were having a staff meeting and the owner was there. The owner was vey friendly and accommodating and took time to have a conversation with us. We overheard a little of their conversation from their team meeting and from what I could tell, the owner takes very good care of his staff. I highly recommend this stay and would definitely stay here again if I come back to Canggu

Great place to stay in Canggu

We really loved our stay at Guru Canggu! The location is great, it is only a few minutes walk from the beach and there are many great caffees and restaurants nearby. It is pretty good that the place is (a little walk) distant from the busy road, as it is much more quieter there. Each and every member of Guru Team was super friendly and helpful. The whole place is very nicely designed, the room and the common spaces as well, I really loved it! We'd come back anytime.

The place was aesthetic and clean and I like that it was a private level for the room! The room was also very big and the water temperature for the shower is sufficiently hot. The staff are incredibly friendly, polite, and helpful, never hesitating to offer us assistance or checking if they can improve our stay. 10/10 for the staff service alone :)

A peaceful and welcoming stay!

We had such a peaceful and relaxing stay at Guru in Canggu. Pande and Tuwi were always incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a calm, serene atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. There are some exciting renovations coming soon too, which we’re sure will make the experience even better. Guru will always be our first choice whenever we return to Canggu. Thank you for an amazing stay!

The pictures that were shown were obviously from when the hotel was first made. The actuality was a lot worse. It needs a huge refresh. The staff however were fantastic.
