Central & Lovely Hostel in Canggu Berawa

Central location in Berawa close to many shops, cafés and about a 10-minute walk from the beach. I like that there’s a stairs (instead of a ladder) to access the upper bunks. Room locker space was adequate. You can use the kitchen with access to a fridge and hob. They’d clean your bed if you put a sign up. The staff were kind and helpful - you can see that they actually like their team and enjoy their job

I was often eaten alive by mosquitos in the outdoor area even though I put on mosquito spray - lighting up coils in those areas would be nice for us to enjoy it in the evening. I can see that the staff are often cleaning, but for some reason the ‘makeup shelf’ is often dirty or maybe it’s already dirtied from products. This is not the hostel’s fault, but I had a roommate who would eat hot food in the room and stink it up - the hostel could make a rule against this

Excellent value for money

The property is everything and more than you can expect for the price. The staff is really friendly and diligent, the facilities are very clean and it has a good shared space. I totally recommend it.

An exceptionally clean, welcoming, and heartwarming stay — truly felt like home away from home.

The cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in — not just in Bali, but in the world! I’m beyond impressed with this place. Everything was spotless — truly sparkling clean. The staff were constantly cleaning and maintaining the space, and it really shows. You can feel it the moment you walk in: light, bright, fresh and cared for. The rooms are spacious and airy, with plenty of showers and toilets. There are separate bathrooms for women and men, and everything is so well-maintained. The kitchen is a dream — big, clean, inviting. You actually want to cook there or just hang out with a cup of tea. There are lots of cozy common areas, a great pool, and even workspaces if you need to get things done. With all the community activities and the warm energy, you really feel like you’re part of a big international family here. Huge thanks to Reza, Kin, and Ryan — you made my stay so special. Thank you for always being there, smiling, helping with all my questions, receiving packages, giving advice, and creating such a welcoming space. You made it feel like home. If you're looking for a place to stay in Bali — don’t think twice. This is it. Highly, highly recommend.

A great hostel!

Great location, 5 minutes walk from Finns and Atlas, surfing lessons on the beach, grocery store and pharmacy in fron of the hostel, great coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Also, the staff was constantly cleaning. Comfortable beds. Laundry service provided (little bit expensive) l, big rooms with big lockers. For the price, its very good!

Its going through some renovations, so I expect some things will be fixed, but I didn't like the smart lock for the rooms. It beeps for every number you press, so imagine all day and night long people coming and going and you hear beep beep beep beep beep beep beep...very annoying!

The rooms were lovely, the staff were very friendly and made sure you felt welcome and included, very interactive and would make us feel at home, did a surf class booked through the hostel with ray teaching us, was the best experience and had the best time, would definitely recommend to stay here :)

I had THE BEST experience at Dip & Doze!

I came to Canggu thinking I’d stay just two nights and then continue my travels, but I ended up staying for a full week because I simply couldn’t leave – the vibes were just something else. Every night, a group of local surfers gathered around the pool to play guitar and sing, creating a truly magical atmosphere. It was such a beautiful way to connect with others and build a sense of community among the guests. The hostel itself was clean, comfortable, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The location was also perfect – plenty of great places to eat nearby, and the beach was just a short walk away. I really hope I can come back before heading home – and maybe even take a few surfing lessons from the boys! I highly recommend Dip & Doze – they truly made my trip unforgettable.

There was some construction going on and it got a bit loud around noon, but it didn’t really bother me as I was usually out and about at that time anyway :)

Very clean and beautiful hostel with amazing staff

Amazing hostel so clean and modern. Rooms are spacious, beds also, there are curtains for privacy. The bathrooms are always cleaned well. Staff is lovely. Breakfast is different buffet everyday and is delicious. Perfect to relax

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed! Amazing vibes, nice pool and rooftop, good activities, perfect location, and the staff is just amazing. Everyone is incredibly nice!! I extended my stay with 5 more days because I enjoyed my time so much here and probably will be back.

Nice place to stay, but we decided to continue our stay elsewhere in Canggu

We had a private room which was extremely clean, spacious and nice. The bed was also very comfortable. Staff was very nice and accomodating, a nice place to stay if you are looking for the hustle and bustle of a hostel with private room.

Sadly there is major construction happening right nextdoor. Nothing the hostel and staff can do anything about, but it did affect our stay as they start early in the morning. It seems that because of the construction a wall was built by the pool, making the pool more of an indoor pool. In addition, we found that the breakfast was quite dissapointing for the room price of about 50€ per night.

A party hostel & a refuge from the craziness of Canggu (yes, both can be true at the same time!)
