About this cabin rental
Mountain Chalet.This beautiful, new home (built in 2020) in Winter Park Resort will be a dream come true for you and your family and a pleasant getaway for all. Spacious common areas and kitchen. Large bedrooms with on-suite full bathrooms for all bedrooms. Large chef's dream kitchen with 36-inch gas range. Truly a vacation paradise you will never forget. We look forward to hosting you at our home.
The space
The house is fully automated including Ecobee smart thermostats (6 in total, one for each room) and smart front door lock.
Please keep the thermostats at 75 degrees or below as the whole house has radiant heat (in-floor heating) and temps above that could ruin the wood floors. No air conditioning (most mountain homes don’t have AC) but you don’t need it. The cool mountain nights in the summer make the nights incredible. We do have fans in all rooms if you need them.
The back deck is a wonderful area to relax on with fantastic views of the mountains. The hot tub also has fantastic views of the mountains and will be a wonderful way to start or end the day.
The fireplace can be used via remote control and the instructions are on the side of the remote.
From time-to-time appliances, Internet service and other items can malfunction or even break. We will do our best to repair these things in a timely fashion but may not be able to get the item fixed before you leave or in a timeframe compatible with you being able to use or utilize the item while staying at our mountain home. We do not offer refunds or discounts if something like this occurs. If something breaks or malfunctions or you simply don’t know how to operate something please call us 24/7/365 at 303-947-1737 and we will do everything we can to help you. We have a Ring doorbell on the front of the house and a Ring Camera overlooking the back deck on the back of the house. There is a camera in the garage as well that is a part of the garage door opener and is not a separate unit.

While this is a sizable place and in a nice location, it was only partially clean and we got the impression this place was not quite ready to host guests. First, we didn’t receive check in and check out instructions and had to message the host to figure out how to get in. It wasn’t until the day after we arrived that we received the house rules, which some were contradictory to what the listing said. Additionally, there were no trash bags for the kitchen trash bin, so we had to use a paper bag our first night to throw our trash away. There weren’t extra sheets for the pull out couch bed and air mattress. The basement and beds in the basement hadn’t been cleaned. We found blood on the bunk bed duvet and pillows, dried up cheese and crumbs on the trundle mattress, lots of hairs in the bathroom, and what appeared to be boogers wiped on walls. Of course, we didn’t notice the dirtiness until we were headed to bed, so ended up staying up late our first night cleaning the basement and using the tiny bit of laundry detergent left to wash the sheets. Additionally, the pull out couch bed was a partial air mattress that had a hole in it, so two guest did not get any sleep the first night and left the next day.We left scratching our heads as to why we paid a cleaning fee when we were the ones who stayed up cleaning the place so we could go to sleep.
