Location is excellent. Amazing views over to the beach from the living room. Round the corner from the Abbey and Whitby Brewery, and only a few minutes walk from the centre of the Town. Parking for one vehicle, and easy access in and out of the property. Property was clean and equipped with everything we needed for a great holiday.
We travelled with teenagers, and found the WIFI couldn't cope with the amount of streaming they were doing (but middle aged parents didn't have an issue). Also, despite the property saying it had an outdoor shed for extra storage, we weren't able to access the code to get in (despite numerous emails and calls). Would recommend hosts put this information somewhere in the property so it's accessible once you've gained entry. We had 3 bikes to store and had to keep these in the dining room which wasn't ideal.

The view was stunning and we enjoyed some spectacular sunsets from the comfort of the cottage. Absolutely worth the effort of the 199 steps to have that view every day. The cafe/bar at the nearby YHA served some great food (especially cake) and the brewery was brilliant on all counts - beer, pizza and atmosphere. We had very clear communication from the hosts on how to get to the property and where to park. There’s no shop in the immediate vicinity but milk and lovely locally made biscuits were left for us to enjoy when we arrived.
The only thing that was a negative for me personally was that the mattress in the room with the one bed was too firm for me to be comfortable. If I were to come back I’d probably look to bring an extra quilt to lie on to soften it a bit. Perhaps if a mattress topper could be provided as an option that would be useful.

Fantastic location. Well appointed kitchen, fresh flowers and biscuits tea and coffee are a nice touch. Plenty of room for the 3 of us.
An outside table would have been nice to sit and have a glass of wine in the sunshine.
