Everything was perfect. We went for a relaxing weekend and that is exactly what we got. If we wanted to engage in some outdoor activities we were literally on top of the hiking trail. Free WiFi and games consoles in the cabin allowed us to sit back and relax in a cosy and comfortable setting.
My girlfriend got a fright from a spider but we're city folk haha. Honestly though, nothing has put us off from coming back or recommending yairbrig to our friends

Great little location for walkers or mountain bikers
Bed was a little low but I do suffer from back issues

The privacy we were given and the area is lovely.
The host was very nice on arrival.
It is important to note that this is in a fairly remote location, next to a river and in a forest but…the humidity is ridiculous, even though we used the dehumidifier provided, this leads to a mouldy smell. Every morning the door was dripping of condensation.
The bed was uncomfortable - again, the bed frame made out of pallets is a good idea, but the right size mattress would’ve been nice as well as making sure the pallets are sanded down so they are free of splinters.
The shower was lacking water pressure.
Overall, it feels just a bit unfinished and this is not represented in the price per night.

Close to the Three Brethern walking trail and a nice stream. Owners friendly. It had character. Nice that there was a dehumidifier and tumble dryer.
Room is definitely warm enough without the heater at night, which was helpful. Next to nature. Good for a couple of nights between other things. The owners are very helpful and keep you updated during your stay.
A note for the shower to say to use "eco mode" would have been helpful as on the "on" setting it went from boiling hot to freezing.
The bed frame that is made from wooden slats had splinters coming off of it.
Bed sheets had a little smell to them.

Very clean. None of the problems as mentioned in other reviews.
Heating and hot water great. Minimal road noise. CCTV facing forward from the house( not at the chalet)meant bikes and boats could be left - very quiet area with lots of hiking and bike trails.
Wi-Fi working fine as no phone signal on that side of the river.
Accommodating hosts.

Lovely comfy bed.
Beautiful location with nice river walks
Good wifi, Netflix on tv and hot shower.
Self contained apartment and parking on your doorstep.
Selection of shampoos and body washes in the bathroom.
Loved the rustic appearance of the apartment and generally had a good stay
Lack of cutlery and utensils in the kitchen
Sofa really hard and uncomfortable
Storage heating not flexible for scottish weather, need to be able to boost when needed- we were cold!
Blankets to snuggle under would be lovely
Road very close which can be busy, was mindful of the dog at all times (maybe a gate to secure the space?)

Ease of checking in and out and easy to find. Lovely location I would think especially in the spring, summer and early autumn
Unfortunately there was a power cut, to be fair the property could not be held responsible as the traffic lights nearby were also out. It was vcold weather anyway and the chalet struggled to get warm.

Was a lovely, cosy place to stay. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. Tea and coffee provided and milk in the fridge too.
I didn't fully read the facilities list, so I really missed having a hairdryer.
The on-road parking wasn't great given we had our dogs.

Compact and bijou but well laid out. It has everything required for a comfortable stay. Very quiet and sweet.
It could have done with a coffee table in the main room.

The location was ideal for work, and the cottage was the perfect size. The bed was comfortable and the facilities were great. The hosts were lovely and went out of their way to assist me with any issues I had while I was staying.

Nothing to be honest
Funny smell in property. Possibly damp. Most uncomfortable bed iv slept in. No closest or drawers to unpack. Limited hot water. Scalding hot water unsafe for kids at times. Sofa was ridiculously small and hard seat. Noisy road from early to late. No paths to supposed walks advertised on website. No garden . CCTV from main house pointing directly at entrance to chalet. WiFi wasn't strong signal. Paid for 5 nights . Staying 2.

Peaceful private kitchen well equipped
Bath rather high to get in and out off the use of wooden pallets as a bed frame to low and edges not well finished.i scratched my calf on it.

Lots of nice little touches like milk in the fridge, bathrobes, shower products. Also had well equipped kitchen.
Unfortunately the bed was very hard and uncomfortable so did not sleep well. Also took a long time for living/ bedroom to get warm.

Can't fault this wee gem, beautiful location, perfect space for a couple, owners were great with a lot of knowledge about the surrounding area for walks, fishing and eating if you fancy eating out. The facilities are perfect. Will definitely return. The resident owl is great hear.

The place itself is really cute and I loved the facilities available to us. It is in a great location and if you have dogs or love walking in the woods, Yair Forest is just a 1-minute walk from the property. Little things were provided such as salt, pepper, and oil for cooking, and a two-pint of milk in the fridge was great, along with the tea and coffee, and cereals. Washing up liquid and washing liquid were also provided which is always a bonus.
Despite the property being left open for us, there was no sign to say that was the property. A sign needs to be put up for guests to identify where they are staying. The bed is very small for taller people. My other half, who is 6 feet tall, feet were hanging out of the end of the bed and he really did not have a good night's sleep and found the bed very uncomfortable. I had to look for shampoo and conditioner in the utility cupboard. I was not impressed being asked for a £2 donation towards the use of the washing machine and dryer, this needs to be made clear to guests when booking.

Overall this is a smashing place to stay. It is very clean. Yairbrig is well very equipped, and the use of the bike store makes like easier. Nice location for walking or cycling, trail or road. There is a washing machine, tumble drier and a drying room with a rack if you get soaked/muddy and need to make good.
I guess the only real grumble would be sorting out the electric radiators, most nights I got in about 20:30 so didn't bother the owners but managed to get them to work sufficiently. Maybe the kitchen floor through into the bathroom could do with floor some insulation. There is a faint musty dog smell but that didn't really bother me. The road adjacent was no real problem as it's quite a quiet route, and the traffic lights don't distract you sleeping.

The accommodation was clean. It was cozy once warmed through. The added touch of the slippers was nice. We were only staying 2 nights and so the accommodation was adequate for our short stay.
The accommodation was cold when we arrived and took a while to heat through with the two heaters supplied. The towels would be better if thicker and softer. Didn't like the dog flap. The sofa needs to be more comfortable.

Bit of a problem with the water supply
