Vielen Dank an Jürgen und Tom, die uns so herzlich empfangen haben. Unser Aufenthalt war nur kurz, und trotzdem haben wir hausgemachten Kuchen und Getränke erhalten. Nicht einmal den Koffer mussten wir schleppen. Die Wohnung selbst ist so liebevoll und durchdacht eingerichtet, dass sie ein echtes Highlight ist. Der Parkplatz ist super erreichbar und hat sogar Ladestationen für Elektroautos. Raol (der Kater) ist ebenfalls ein nettes Highlight.

The location! The host was caring and helpful and explained everything and the apartment extremely well stocked, (except for bath towels which I suspect was an oversight on the day I was there). Very Comfortable bed. I adored that there was a piece of chocolate cake waiting and a great selection of spices and spreads. Large and attract and very clean space.

The site felt a little precarious for an older woman traveling alone. The stairs outside the unit were undergoing restoration so they were uneven and steep and the stairs to the loft were sturdy but for me needed all four limbs like a ladder because there were no handrails, so it was hard to get things up there. I had a bit of a scary slip in the shower and the lack of a doorknob on the unit was ok for me but I know would have bothered many women because there is no security latch from the rest of the property. But even so with all of these things still a very nice stay.

Extremely well appointed apartment not far from the centre of Ghent. The host Tom was very welcoming. Some beer, jam, coffee, chocolate cake, biscuits were left for us. The apartment was super clean 🫧🛀🧹 with modern fittings , and the bed was very comfortable. We were given tips on which restaurants, cafe’s, shops, bars to visit. The apartment was a short walk from Dampoort station; we arrived by train.
