A brilliant stay for all the family.

We loved our stay at B&B Abdeshof, we stayed for 2 nights on our way to a longer stay in Netherlands and it was just the ticket. Bed was extremely comfortable, everywhere was super clean, breakfast was delicious and the kids play equipment along with the goats and chickens were great entertainment for our 12 and 10 year old. To top it all off the sunset whilst we were there was absolutely beautiful. Host Lore is fabulous and a mine of information. We visited Bruges whilst there on her recommendation, and had a lovely time - such a beautiful place. Middelkerke nearby is nice, it can be walked but we drove each time - parking is very busy though.

There was nothing we didn’t like, simply some builds on the already great product - e.g. some bikes for hire would be a great value add and use large shower amenities instead of the minis which are more sustainable.

Matthijs & Lore are exceptional hosts. Right from the get-go, we felt incredibly welcomed and settled in. Lore gave us the grand tour of the place and showed us around the farm. Our rooms were spick and span, nicely put together. Just a little suggestion for improvement: a couple more hooks in the bathroom for towels would do wonders, especially for larger families maybe. The beds are comfy and spacious enough for taller folks. The AC works like a charm, and the fridge does a solid job keeping things cool. We didn't come across any flaws, neither in the rooms nor in the common area. Speaking of which, the common area doubles up as a breakfast spot and a bar. You can count on a mighty fine regional breakfast spread with fresh bread and rolls. Come evening, the place turns into a hangout for card games or simply some good old socializing. The bar comes stocked with a generous selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, and you settle up using an honor system with little notes. Freshly squeezed orange juice was a daily treat, along with local cheeses, cold cuts, jams, yogurts, and milk, fresh fruits also Those cute croissants and pastries were the cherry on top. And the coffee? You could make your own cuppa from the well-kept coffee machine. Genius! They even had cocoa for the kiddos! Lore would also check in with guests, offering up options like scrambled or sunny-side-up eggs with bacon. Now that's how you kickstart a day! ;) Matthijs & Lore had a knack for being discreet yet always reachable via WhatsApp, lending their expertise with great suggestions for exploring the best local spots and specialties. We managed to have a few delightful chats, delving a bit into the history and future of the farm. Our son practically lived on the go-karts and made full use of the trampoline and the lawn for soccer - a kid's paradise. Being close to the hosts and the animals lent a sense of ease and tranquility.

a lovely family stay near beaches

a beautiful location within driving or cycling distance to the beaches. children are very welcome and play areas are available outside. The exterior of the building is very pleasing and the property is clean and tidy. The honesty box is a great idea so you can get drinks throughout the evening.

The beds were not very comfy and could have done with white cotton bedding.

Everything one could wish for! Fresh orange juice. Freshly prepared bacon and eggs.

Merely a recommendation to install a soap dispenser i.s.o the small soap bottles. Makes it more environmental friendly.

the property is locates close to the center town/beach- 5 min by car. the host is very welcoming. very clean room with nice view of the city and far from the noise of the city, quite and calm area, comfortable beds, large & renovated bathroom with Italian shower. Nice breakfast, nice music at the reception in the morning creating holidays atmosphere. I will definitely return here.

Excellent breakfast and very welcoming hosts. Close to the beach and at the same time a very quiet place.

Isolation of rooms (doors) could be a bit more to let those who want to hang out in the common areas do that without disturbing those who want to go to sleep.

Geen airco op de hele kleine kamer Het ontbijt was beperkt, we moesten zelf brood bijvragen en dit duurde toch wel even.

Super!

Supervriendelijke ontvangst! Ontbijt lekker en elke morgen werd gevraagd of we een vers gebakken eitje wilden met spek. Laatste morgen zelfs een vers pannenkoekje bij het ontbijt. De kamers waren zeer proper en ruim en er was airco. De B&B was zeer mooi gelegen in de velden maar toch kort aan het centrum van Middelkerke. Er was ook een afgesloten ruimte om de elektrische fietsen op te laden en veilig te stallen. Wij komen zekers nog terug!

Un chouette moment

Un véritable bonheur, coin en pleine nature établissement rénové dans un ancien corps de ferme avec un activité agricole à l’heure actuelle. L’accueil par Lore et sa maman était vraiment agréable, et familiale. Lore a bien pris soin de nous en parlant dans notre langue natale. Le déjeuner était délicieux et la salle à manger des plus lumineuse.

Quelques petits détails d’ordre pratique, un petit crochet pour l’essuie éventuellement plus proche de la douche avec un petit endroit pour y déposer le savon… mais ce sont des détails… sinon rien a dire tout etaient très bien

Heerlijke vierdaagse die veel te vlug voorbij waren.

Rustige locatie met vergezichten op de velden en de skyline van Middelkerke. Het ontbijt had voldoende variatie aan eten en dranken. Lekker vers brood en de kakelverse eitjes waren top. Met Lore en haar mama voelt men zich onmiddelijk thuis. Elke vraag kreeg een antwoord. TOPTEAM !!!

Rustig vertoeven

De rustige locatie op enkele minuten rijden naar het strand was een verademing. Alles was aanwezig, gezellige binnen en buiten ruimtes. Ontbijt was lekker en zeker voldoende :) ook fijn dat er nog apart een eitje met spek gebakken werd. We zouden zeker nog eens terugkomen bij een tripje naar de kust. Doe zo verder 😊

Mooi verblijf en locatie met een zeer attente host.

Rust, zeer ruim en netjes. Verzorgd en lekker onberispelijk volledig ontbijt met lekkere latte macchiato. Lore en Matthijs hebben een TOP koffiemachine met een zéér uitgebreide keuze, inclusief decaffeines. Of het aan de melk of aan de machine ligt weet ik niet maar de opgeschuimde melk is perfect.
