Great bolt hole to get away from it all
Beautiful tranquil property, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Owners were lovely, on hand if we needed but allowed us our own privacy.

We really enjoyed exploring the area and spending time as a family in the cottage and garden
Beautiful location with views in all directions. You can walk along the river to Helmsley in one hour (or drive there in a few minutes). Dog paddock and dog shower provided, even dog shampoo! Cottage is clean and beautiful with everything we needed. Nice and warm in chilly weather and probably would be cool in hot weather. Garden is shared and well looked after with picnic tables and bbq.
No lock on bathroom door. A pity dogs aren't allowed in bedrooms but everything else is extremely dog friendly.

Everything that you would wish for in a Yorkshire break.
Location was beautiful and peaceful, but so close to Helmsley. Friendly hosts coped with long power cut and went beyond the call of duty with hot coffee on arrival and keeping us posted, along with a contribution from the power company towards a meal out. Such comfortable beds - slept like a log, most unusual! Cottage well equipped.
Really picky, but decalcify the shower head....
