The location of the hotel was excellent with most places within easy reach on foot. The room was comfortable and well equipped and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is one of the highlights, taken a short walk away at the Caffe degli Specchi. Trieste is a marvelous city and Elizabeth Rooms added to the enjoyment. I will go back.

Spacious, modern, clean room. Elevator. Excellent location close to the old city and harbour. Reasonably straightforward access with online check in.
Staff attention to room issues was slow and unsatisfactory. The sink stopper kept getting stuck in the basin and the sink could not drain. The first staff member we spoke to said he would do something immediately but nothing happened. We needed to ask again and then it was fixed by a staff member using a toilet plunger who told us this frequently happens in other rooms too. Same thing happened again when we used the sink the first time after it had been ‘fixed’. We were unable to use it again because it didn’t drain. So for all but a few hours of our stay we had no sink which was very inconvenient. The attitude of the staff member we spoke to at check out was that because we booked with booking.com they could not offer us a discount for the inconvenience.
