Nicely decorated and equipped traditional stone cottage. Lovely view and good local shop and eateries within a few minutes walk. Satellite TV in an otherwise poor reception area. Spotlessly clean.
Although central heating is listed in the facilities, it is not available from March to October. We were there in mid June and the weather was damp and sunless. There was an electric fire in the sitting room and a convector heater in the bedroom. On arrival, the cottage struck you as deeply chilly, especially in the tiny windowless kitchen.
The bathroom was really cold and, with no heat available, prone to condensation. Towels were permanently damp. Also, the electric shower unit had a water leak coming from within the unit, which made us doubt its safety.
Hot water to the kitchen and bathroom sinks was barely tepid, so a kettle had to be boiled for washing up.
There was no chance that you could have dried out wet weather gear or footwear.

The pictures online didn't do it justice. It was imaculately presented and was the perfect place for a cozy weekend away with my girlfriend. The location is stunning. You could throw a stone into the Loch from the front door it's that close and it is set in one of the uks most photogenic places. It was my girlfriends first time up here and she absolutely loved it

The self catering cottage was just superb. The cottage was cosy and quaint with great views of the mountains. The kitchen had all the facilities for your self catering stay! The bed was lovely and comfortable.
The place was immaculately clean. Great location for a walk up the cobbler! Or an hours drive to the stunning glen Coe.
Also an hours drive to the Wallace monument. Short travel down the road to Loch Lomond.
Highly recommended little piece of heaven in arrachor. ☺️☺️

This was a charming cottage on the banks of Loch Long. It had everything we needed for our week's stay in and around the Loch Lomond National Park. A great number of places were in easy reach making this a wonderful location. The cottage was fitted out with all we needed for a self-catering stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

This is a perfect location for Arrochar and climbing Ben Arthur. The cottage overlooks the Loch and is in walking distance of bars, restaurants, a shop and a great fish and chip shop. It's also only a 15-20 min walk around the Loch to the Ben Arthur trail head. We arrived very late at night after a seven hour journey and the door opened to a sparkling clean and fresh cottage which we really appreciated :) Hand sanitiser was on the table as you walked in. We also enjoyed giving Cleo, the lovely friendly cat a few tickles! All in all a great find. Bed was very comfortable as was the living room. 10am is an early check out in our book, especially if you check out the day after you do the hike (ouch), but we appreciated Ben and Hazel's quick response when we asked about a later check out, and did get the impression it would have been ok had the restrictions not been in place.
This is the first self catering house we have stayed in for a few years (and we travel a lot) that didn't have cooking basics, so no oil, salt and pepper etc and this let's it down a little for us otherwise our score would have been higher. We of course bring cooking stuff with us that is single use but you don't want to be lugging a whole bottle of oil around with you. After usually always finding this in other places it was a surprise and we had to be a bit creative when cooking. Maybe if you are staying a whole week you could bring it with you (if you know) but with only a few nights it's a bit of a chore to pack the cooking essentials. Given that the bnb is attached we would have appreciated/expected a bottle of oil/salt and pepper/vinegar and maybe even a small bottle of milk, which has become commonplace in other properties.
