We booked 2 apartments right on loch lomond, 60 seconds from the door. Sights were absolutely beautiful. The apartments absolutely exceeded our expectations by far. Patrik and his wife were such lovely welcoming people. We were made to feel 100% welcome, it was definitely a home from home. We were taken out on the boat to see more of the loch by Patrik. We will be returning for sure next year i would definitely & highly recommend booking Loch Side Lodge to anyone. We would like to thank Patrik& his wife for an amazing experience

Lovely little spot with fabulous views

It was a very cosy spot with a full kitchen as advertised. The bedroom was a tad small for a tall person but that wasn't a huge deal. The location was beautiful and a short 2.3Km walk to Luss along a dedicated paved path next to the highway that followed along Loch Lomand with beautiful views of the Loch. There was ample parking available as advertised.

As with most locations on our stay there was only one suitcase rack available (cumbersome for the second person that has to use a piece of furniture or the floor). This being said, again, not a huge deal.

Perfect in Every Way.

Everything about our stay at Culag was perfect. Set Literally on the shores of Loch Lomand, the location is delightful with Stunning views. The apartment was amazing, very cosy and comfortable, with everything you need to self cater. Patrick is a welcoming host and always ready to stop and chat. We can't wait to return.

Three night break.

Patrick was very accommodating we had a problem with the room as it had stairs and I can't do stairs,, so Patrick went out of his way to get us one with out stairs and I must admit it didn't disappoint it was amazing. He is a very pleasant man even told us the best places to go to eat if we didn't want to cook. I'd defiantly recommend this place the views of the loch and the peace and tranquility was good.

A perfect stay on the shores of Loch Lomond!

We had the most wonderful time at Culag Lochside in Luss. The location is absolutely unbeatable — right on the water with stunning views of Loch Lomond, and just a short walk into the charming village of Luss. The setting is peaceful and private, yet so convenient for exploring the area. The accommodation itself was spotless, beautifully furnished, and had everything we needed for a comfortable self-catering stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bed was super comfortable, and the living area had a cozy feel with a view that’s hard to beat. We especially loved sitting outside in the mornings with a coffee, watching the light change over the loch — pure magic. Our host was friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was perfect for our arrival. Their local tips were spot-on, and you can tell they really care about their guests having a great experience. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with all the comforts of home and breathtaking scenery, Culag Lochside is the place to stay.

The only small downside we found was the cost of any taxis — there’s a bit of a surcharge as they are having to travel outside of their district, which can add up if you’re heading out to nearby restaurants or other places in the area. It’s completely understandable given the location and how rural it is, but something to keep in mind if you don’t have your own transport. If you plan to explore or dine out often, it’s definitely easier (and more economical) to have a car with you.

Perfect

The location was absolutely perfect, surrounded by such breathtaking natural beauty. Even though the weather was terrible during our stay, it didn’t take away from how special the place felt. In fact, watching the rain and mist over the landscape made it even more peaceful and memorable. The hosts were truly superb — kind, welcoming, and thoughtful in every way. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more. Despite the weather, it was a wonderful stay that left us feeling relaxed and grateful. We’d love to return one day, hopefully with a bit more sunshine!

Lovely find on the edge of the Loch.

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and lovely and warm (although this can be controlled easily enough). The kitchen is quite well kitted out and there was milk/tea/coffee there for our arrival The location on the shores of Loch Lomond is excellent. Patrick was very pleasant and checked in with us to see if all was ok.

The proximity to the road leads to a little traffic noise but this is very muted so not really a problem.

Hidden Gem 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Had an absolute ball for 2 nights in the 3 bedroom cottage with another 2 couples. The cottage had everything you could need and was warm and clean. Each room had an ensuite which was great. The games room was great and we spent 2 nights in there playing pool and listening to music. Patrick couldn't do enough for you and made our stay so fun. I can honestly say its the best wee hidden gem we've been to in Scotland and we've travelled loads. Didn't want to come home 😭. Thank you Patrick and Anne for a fantastic stay and hope to see yous soon 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💚

Terrific hosts, location and beautiful loch side views!

Our hosts were wonderful, greeting us upon arrival and checking on us and our plans. The location was stellar and we could easily walk on the path into town and to everything we wanted to do along the Loch. The view was incredible - a rare find of a place.

Travelers should be aware that there is noise from the road but it didn't bother us because the proximity to the water was wonderful.

Lodge needed some TLC. Sofa was a bit hard. It was a little hard to find; "Luss" was not a precise enough location. Something like "X miles North from the (only) petrol station at Luss, sharp right turn into obscured entrance" would have helped.

Exceptional property. Nice location right on the lake with options to dine out on the loch side. Conveniently located close to Luss which is a beautiful village. All amenities in excellent condition. Very clean property and amazing views from all the rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the kids enjoyed the games and the trampoline. Would have loved to stay longer and will come back in the future.

The location is amazing as were the facilities. Patrick was so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us and all his other guests. The view over the loch is amazing and the outdoor space is so wonderful. We enjoy going out exploring the loch on the kayaks. Patrick gave us a lift in his rib boat to the Luss Highland Games which made it even more special. Can’t recommend enough.

The perfect Lodge in the Loch you

It was the perfect stay. It is located literally on the Loch and offers ample parking. The Lodge was on 2 floors and although it is self-catering, we were supplied with fresh milk, tea, coffee and sugar on arrival. There was a brochure and information on where to go and what to do and our 2day stay certainly wasn't long enough. We highly recommend this to all.

The ONLY picky thing, if required was the lack of internet access which we found often in Scotland. Other than that. NOTHING

Amazing Loch Lomond views

Being so close to Loch Lomond with your private access to the water was definitely the highlight of our trip! The views from the cottage were unbeatable as well! Patrick, our host, was very friendly and welcoming during our stay. Moreover, a huge shoutout and thanks to Patrick for being so helpful when my dad had forgotten something in the room and had to pick up at night.

Fabulous stay, with stunning views, enjoyed by all 3 generations on trip!

We visited Culag as part of a trip for my Dad’s 80th and it was huge hit for all 3 generations! Everything (the accommodation, the location, the host, the facilities) were exceptional. The kids (8 and 10) particularly enjoyed swimming in the loch, skimming stones on the beach, the games room and then all the board games in the house. My dad particularly enjoyed the boat trip around the Loch, where we saw highland cows, a heron and deer. Then my husband’s highlight was having a beer by the fire/bbq and looking out across the Loch! The accommodation was extremely spacious, had stunning views from all windows and had everything needed for a most enjoyable stay (so a top rating from us!).

Lovely views but a little noisy

The property was in a location which afforded lovely views over the Loch and was very close to Luss. We enjoyed a walk along the path to the village. The owner was very friendly.

We were surprised at how noisy it was.. Not so much the traffic but there was loud music playing all day from the main property. At night there was boats coming and going, and loud music being played on them too. It wasn't as peaceful as we were hoping it would be unfortunately.
