Foss Room

This was a lovely little room, with character, perfect for a night or 2, in a fantastic location. It would have (& should have been) perfect…comfy bed, tea & coffee making facilities, tv with all the options, fabulous location, but….BUT it was not clean!!! The surfaces hadn’t been dusted, the skirting boards had never been cleaned & were thick with grime, carpet was poorly hoovered, ants running all over the place & worse of all the toilet & sink weren’t clean. I let properties myself & this room could be immaculate with just another hour spent cleaning it. When you see the obvious, easily cleaned stuff not done, you have to wonder what’s lurking under the bed & behind cupboards. 🥴 a little extra effort is all the difference between a fabulous stay or a bad review. I only do reviews normally for exceptionally good or bad places, but I just felt compelled in this case as it’s such an easy fix. This may be disregarded & that’s fine, but it’s be a shame.

Central location in Dartmouth Easy access to room/ great communication Lots of tea /coffee and a whole pack of biscuits, we were really good and didn't open them, would of scoffed the lot otherwise! Very close to The Flavel, which was the reason for our visit

The room is in a great location in the centre of Dartmouth. The room is a good size with good storage. Sheets and towels were clean and there was a good selection of tea, coffee and biscuits.

The bathroom needs a deep clean. Some dirt on the floor from the previous stay and the tiles etc would benefit from being descaled/ scrubbed. It was a shame because the room was otherwise lovely.

No table by the window like in the picture. Would have been better if there was a mini fridge to put milk in. One of the other guests in one of the other apartments had a dog. On line it stated no dogs. Shower/bathroom could do with update - tiling in the shower and shower as a whole tired.

Tea coffee facility was good and glasses provided for wine and beer.

Dirty floor in bathroom. Very light and noisy at night and the sea gulls drove us mad from 3am.

The location of the room is perfect, very cute building in a seriously beautiful town. We really liked the key box and the way to get in, brilliant idea. 😉

Central yet calm location and best price for two. Fully met all our expectations.

Small room. Neighbors can be heard talking. Noise/voices from the little street - fortunately the street itself is relatively calm, ie no traffic.

It was the end of March and we didn,t like to leave the radiator on through the night, a blanket or a heavier duvet would have been welcome as it was quite chilly one night.

The directions need to be updated. Shop next door has changed, from Rudd's Wellies to a goldsmith. Bathroom - especially shower cubicle - needs refurbishing.

Loved the location. Just perfect. The bed was super comfy but would be amazing to have another blanket in the room as an option. Herbal Tea choices would be lovely to see more. Excellent there was a decaf coffee choice. In shower room would be great to add little travel shampoos and conditioner as I surely expected that to be in my room and didn’t take any with me. Other than that it was amazing room in a perfect location.

The cosiness of the room and central location and for us the ease of parking.Easy to get breakfast close by and enjoy the local galeries and art shops and market.

No suitable lamp for reading by, except main light after dark.

Central location, quiet street. Perfect for a few days stay.

No room for bedside tables & lights but a minor point for a few days.

Absolutely very outstanding service. Kim was brilliant. very comfortable and cosy place to stay. Location is perfect and excellent value for money. definitely highly recommendable

Location was perfect, except for the noisy seagulls!!! Biscuits were a nice touch. Nice decor in bedroom.

No soap in dispenser, toilet and sink clean, bit of mould around the shower and not very well finished off tiling. Fittings a bit basic, could do with an upgrade, bed too small for 6 foot husband, but comfortable.

Location was excellent breakfast not included

The shower is in desperate need of refurbishment
