Won’t be back again

I was charged a $100 bond and did not get my refund upon checkout. We left the room clean and tidy other than sleeping in the beds the room remained unused.

Great hotel, let down by restaurant service

Beautiful hotel. Modern, clean and friendly. Excellent location. Relaxing and ideal for business travel to the CBD.

The stay would have been perfect if I could get service in the bar/restaurant. The young serving staff ignore solo business travellers. After being seated and given a menu, the server never returned - couples and groups who arrived after me got water and then their drinks. I had to get up and complain. Ruined my short stay here. Even after complaining, the same restaurant server was just standing around laughing with mates.

Sudima CBD is the best in the Akl CBD

We’ve stayed here 4 times this year. We always ask for an early check in and the staff are always obliging. They go above and beyond to make sure how stay is comfy. Even upgraded is on this trip to harbour view room

An excellent stay with the friendliest staff!

We loved the location and the modern facilities! The decor was beautiful, but the staff truly made the experience memorable, some of the friendliest people I’ve ever encountered, and I travel often. The room was spacious enough for four adults - the beds were comfortable, and the shower pressure was excellent. It was a quiet, relaxing stay in a great location, and we were able to walk to most places without any issues. Highly recommend!

Easy check in process. Parked just outside temporarily to check in. Room and location was fine.

The whole time we were staying thee it was excellent, from the amazing greeting as we entered, the check in agent was exceptional and the whole place was great and welcoming. I will highly recommend as it is close for all travellers and has a variety of options.

There was only one thing that i could find that was a fault. It was the airconditioning in the room. It never went below a certain temperature and the room felt wamr most of the time. but this is minor so all was amazing.

Fantastic value for money. Would stay again

Location was fantastic, right in the CBD and a short walk to the waterfront. Staff were friendly and attentive, the restaurant was convenient and coffees were great. Our son loved the robot that delivered milk and room service. We couldn’t hear anyone in rooms around us, or the road noise.

Buffet breakfast was over priced at $38 per person for a very limited selection of food (barely lukewarm). When we ordered room service the food arrived cold.

A disappointing stay in a four star hotel

The harbour view out of our room window. The room was clean and tidy.

The room was too small for the maximum of four adults. Even the double bed barely sleeps two persons. There is not enough space for our luggage. Not enough space and hangers for our clothes and jackets. We have to ask for the third persons towel as I have stated three adults in my booking. There was no replenish of coffee in my room on the next day of our stay.

Very slick hotel

This is a modern, classy establishment. Minimalist comfortable rooms. Comfy beds. Even a pillow menu. The bathroom soap smells incredible🤣 Good views and location. Breakfast very nice. And gym passes at a local nearby gym. How awesome is that.

Comfy bed - perfect location - could do with milk and water in the fridge and bigger TV

Bed was so comfy and room was a good size for 2 people

It wasn't very cosy and had a almost like 'hospital-feel' about it. The TV was very small, we didn't feel like we could fully relax. Also the no milk in the fridge even a small amount in a glass bottle (if Sudima are trying to be sustainable) would have been nice, I feel like calling the staff to ask for milk is quite weird for a hotel, ideally you would like some water and milk for convenience when you stay somewhere, this feels fair for booking a room in general anywhere.

Loved the location as it was walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. There was lots of choice for breakfast and we enjoyed our drink on the top level as the sun set.

My only gripe was a very noisy child, in a room close by, who was not wanting to go to sleep. He finally fell asleep about 11.30pm. Needless to say, that is when I finally got to sleep.

Awesome & Amazing at Sudima Auckland Central

Great location in between Victoria park & Skycity. Awesome location to walk to the gallery, town hall, queen street shops. The decor is sophisticated & classy. A robot delivered fresh milk to our room for a cuppa! Kids loved it. Breakfast buffet of dreams!

No complimentary car park. Only parking option was $55 valet service on a first come basis. We did our research & used a nearby Wilson pay park - fine on the weekend but will be extortionate on a week day.

Sudima Auckland City Hotel Review

Staff were nice and friendly and attentive.

Lack of facilities such as no swimming pool and no gym I was not aware of this until we got there. As a regular world traveler this was disappointing to see. As a 4 star hotel this should be looked at. Upon arrival we had to come into the hotel and ask for staff to bring our bags in. Staff need to be more aware of people arriving and checking in or more staff is needed to attend the front desk. This is important as it's the first impression you get at point of arrival of the hotel. The Asian based vegan restaurant should be looked at too, although they make delicious food. Most travellers are not on vegan and on plant based diets. I would suggest a restaurant that can cater to all dietary requirements, such as popular cuisines from around the world that cater to all tastes and dietary requirements and also have meat options available. It would have been nice to have a steak which is a must on hotel menu to cater to those who eat meat & seafood etc. The bedroom needs another rubbish bin in the room as we only had a rubbish bin in the bathroom. The bathroom too needs the Smith & Co products eg. bodywash, shampoo, handwash and conditioner changed, as it's too musculine in smell and smelt like tabacco. As a female using these products would appreciate it to be more fresh smelling and not musculine. We stayed here for 8 days so it was longer than a usual stay, but these are the main areas that stood out for us. Hope you would take this into consideration in reviewing some of the areas that need looking into. Regards Miriam

Relaxing family time

We enjoyed the whole stay very much; we have stayed in a few hotels in Auckland city and this by far for the price is the best we've stayed in. Customer service was awesome! They were very natural and warm. We needed more towels which arrived very quickly and to our surprise it was a robot at the door! The kids thought it was the best :) Highly recommend and we will be back. The pillows were also amazing!

Wonderful

They made it really special for my birthday, decorating a plate of welcome treats. Very lovely team, clean & great location in town. EAST Restaurant on the ground floor is superb too, we thoroughly enjoyed the Chefs Experience there.
