Seaview Apartment sleeps 2 - private patio

The flat was clean and comfortable. Lovely sea view, close to places to visit.

Booking.com downplayed the very difficult access to the property. Had to park in the town with a 25 minute walk up a very steep hill then a lot of steps to the front door. It was extremely difficult dragging our luggage up the hill. We are both in our 60’s and my partner has a bad hip. Not a place for the faint hearted! There was no WiFi and the TV only had a few channels in the ‘5’ selection. I bought new batteries for the remote and for the Goodmans box. This did not work, probably the sensor is gone. Had to cut away vegetation from the satellite dish but no improvement! We found 24 hour £5 a night parking below the church as well as an easier walk to the property. Parking costs in town were astronomical. We had to plan our day so we only went out once, because of the access. Local footpaths and steps need brambles cutting back!

Tv and free sat boxed out of date ….the free sat only had 6 channels ! Maybe change the Tv to one that can link to iPads/phones via Bluetooth Luckily there was a ok signal so able to create a hot spot so I could watch shows on my IPad Walk up very steep but doable ….would be a struggle for older guests

If you want to lessen walking up steep hill then park at St John’s community hall and walk past church through alleyway, it costs £5 a day and nearer. A bed settee may be good to install in the lounge so 2 people could stay in the flat.

As others have commented wifi would be useful as you cant get any signal when town busy. The bush needs trimming more as it blocks the view. Many woodlice through the flat, host needs to put some spray down. Mold in the flat too in skirting boards, walls and air. For these reasons I would not go back.

Great location in Barmouth. We didn’t mind the steps and steep climb. The view was worth it!

The property is damp in the bedroom. The Booking.com description is not accurate and should reference the access challenges and not mention WiFi as there is none. We had read the reviews carefully so were aware of the lack of WiFi and the steep access which were not an issue for us but for others they may be.
